2010 Wait for AP Scores: The Home Stretch

After staying up until 4 am-ish and still not getting my scores, I fell asleep. So, for that, I dislike you at the moment Edna.

But, I just called and freaked out when she said something differently. Anyways I did quite bad. :[ I was really going for a 4 on AP US History and a 4 on AP English Lang and Comp (at the most).

What I got was…
AP US Hist: 3
AP Lang: 2 (Whhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)
Chemistry: 1 (not surprising because I walked out midway through test like a boss :])

Biology 5
English Language 5
Statistics 4
APUSH 5

YAY! Way better than I anticipated

to ALL of those who already got the scores for chem and bio:
What are your predictions for the curve? What would be the cutoff for a 5?

So the scores have come out by phone… one more week to wait for me… hopefully Stat goes well; it looks like it did for all of you…

When we send scores to colleges, can we send pick one score to send, or is it every AP we’ve taken?

@sandrabui All scores are sent, but you can withhold one score if you would like the college not to see it for a fee of $10 for each test.

yayyyyayayyy

$10? Collegeboard is freaking crazy. I feel so stupid. Do bad AP scores do anything to college records if you’re already admitted? I’m an incoming college freshman…I can’t think of it doing anything, but idk…

can anybody tell me how the curve for bio and chem was this year? I’m really nervous and I can’t call. What was the curve like?

Omg… I wanna noe what I got… But don’t want to pay $8 to collegeboard :(… Anyways people that did good on the calc ab exam… Did u guys feel like u really did that well or do u think the curve was generous… Because the exam was p tough :/

I don’t think it matters if you are going to attend the college in the fall. It only gets you out of some classes. I wouldn’t withhold a score.

This is my entire history of scores including this year:

Sophomore Year
AP US History - 4

Junior Year
AP US Gov - 5
AP Psychology - 5

Senior Year (this year)
AP Chemistry - 4
AP English Language - 5
AP English Literature - 3 :frowning:
AP Calc AB - 4
AP Stats - 5

I’m one score short of National AP Scholar. Not that the title means anything, but it would have been cool :frowning: lol

YAY!!!

I got:
Calc BC: 5
AB subscore: 4 (weird right?)
Mechanics: 2
E and M: 3

@janeyyet
which curve did you use for chemistry? how much do you think your raw score was? I’m guessing mine was around 117/160? Could that be a 5 for chemistry? I’m really worried.

what about biology? i think my raw score was like 94/150 (worst case scenario with a 71 mc and 20 short answer = (71 x .9) + (20 x 1.5) = 93.9). Could that be a 5?

I bombed my aps

@blindtrombonist
what do you think you got as a raw score for chem?

wow this is my 100th post

^both of those should definitely be 5s

US Gov: 5
Calc BC and AB subscore: 5
Physics C: 5 (both parts)

Is anyone else sad that their AP career is over? :(

My AP career has just begun.

Was anyone else surprised by a 5 in lit? My evil ■■■■■ of a teacher not only gave me my only B EVER, she also told our class how we were all going to be put in remedial English in college. And she always gave me like 5s and 6s on the essays. So needless to say I was amazed to get a 5, especially because last year only 7% got 5s.

Calculus BC - 5
   (sub) AB - 5
Statistics - 5
Biology - 5
Lang - 4

So, this is kind of funny. I knew that the Lang exam was pointless because I can get the same college credit by taking Lit next year, so I decided to have fun on the final question and wrote a semi-offtopic essay about how CollegeBoard is an evil wing of the US Government brainwashing youth into compliance. Guess that didn’t go over too well…

The Bio 5 is just unbelievable. I’ll be ridiculously happy for a month.
