2010 Wait for AP Scores: The Home Stretch

@noimagination

lol, nice essay

what did you expect your raw score to be for bio?

^ I have no idea. I was saved by that last FRQ where I wrote a long essay about ecological succession (my regular bio teacher was obsessed with it) and the MC felt pretty good, but I really didn’t deserve to do well. My class left tons of stuff uncovered and I stopped paying attention second semester anyway… maybe the frantic 48 hours of preparation the weekend before payed off.

@kww I’m not TERRIBLY surprised by my 5 in Literature, although somewhat. I mean, the MC was A LOT easier than I’d expected, so I thought I got tons wrong. Then, for my essays, I completely bull ****ted that one about the poem; that was bad. I wrote a great second essay on the passage about the use of passive voice and structuring of sentences. For my third, I always feel like I use too much plot, so I didn’t think I’d get a good score on that. Oh, well, I’ll take the 5 ;D
I suppose it helps I got the highest grade in my class :P

same here, i stopped paying attn so much to the extent that i got an 85 in the class (all my tests were above 90s, but all the little things, labs, presentations, etc. got me). i also studied the weekend before the test.

what would you say is the cutoff for bio tho? do you think 70 raw mc and a 20 FRQ could get you a 5?

idk my own raw score. its impossible to ascertain an accurate estimate of what your raw score is; all i can do is estimate. anyone can think they had one raw score, and then get a score that is not reflective of that score.

@francais
I felt exactly the same way about the multiple choice and the first essay. It was by far the easiest lit multiple choice I had taken. And I hated the poem, I think I completely missed the point. Ha it’s funny, my teacher played favorites and I just found out the only kid who got an A in her class got a 4. I felt slightly redeemed lol.

@notreal: I don’t know about the cutoff. It was easier than I expected, but I was expecting it to be crazy hard. I also got a B in the class, although there’s some minute chance that my teacher might raise that after this score :)

@kww I didn’t HATE IT. I just didn’t get it upon first reading; it was the last essay I wrote. I BS’d something about how the quilt was her link to the past/present/future while also being a shelter for her from the horrors of the real world. Of course I mentioned the colors too, but it was just bad xD I’m thinking I got a 6 on that. My teacher didn’t really play favorites, but my group of friends and I were definitely the best students in the class, and everyone knew it. By the first few months, we’d been dubbed the “Fab 4,” sitting in our corner of the room, haha.

Anyone else forced to wait by their parents? T_T

Mom made me wait an hour, but took pity on me :)

APUSH: 4
English Lit: 3

I am content!

I used the Visa gift card I found lying around in my room this week. My parents don’t even know.

My parents wanted to know my scores almost as much as I did.

If I wanted to call, my parents would let me, but we both don’t see the point. At all. Patience is virtue. ;)

^There is no way in hell my parents would pay $8 for scores that you would receive a week later, even though it would save me from a lot of stress.

That’s why I’m really curious about how people did and what they expected their raw scores to be.

Ok… So my friend called and totally entered a random cc number that had the first 4 of mastercard (so the system would recongize it as that) and then a random exp date and it told him the scores. Apparently they must not bill you right away or validate your card number to make sure it works because I called this morning with my card and still haven’t been billed. I find this very funny.

^That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Does he know what identity theft is?

@nicker

Who wouldn’t do that? It’s not like your full name, school, address or SSN could be used to find you once they found out…

btw what’s up with all of these porn/4chan tags that i see?

Has anyone gotten there late exam scores back yet? I’m still waiting on one…

Yep… Haha… They have every piece of info about you possible.

And

@314159 - I called this morning and my AP Environmental Science Score that I took during the late period on May 19 was ready.

is anyone having problems using the phone service…after i enter my ap number and month and day of birth it says that i either typed it in incorrectly or that no record was found of me…i called like 10 times and just could not get thru
if anyone has had any similar experiences if they could plz give me insight bc i really wanna noe my scores…thx
