i never got a koala vs human taste one…so maybe thats your experimental? i took my test in the upper midwest if that affects anything…

I think the harmful effects one goes with the question trying to show what passage 1 focused more upon.

@andrew: it’s self-satisfied. was her TONE conscientious? NO. her TONE was self-satisfied. she was self-satisfied in what she had written. her ACTIONS were conscientious. NOT her tone.

@bio1995, right, it was “damaging effects,” but what about the other question?

btw, i am now convinced it is self-satisfied, even though i put conscientious. i guess i just had a different connotation of the word

@debater27: Yeah that was probably it.

^^I do not remember the other question.

what was my experimental section? im pretty sure i had 4 reading sections, but i didn’t have anything to do with koalas… or cricket

@bio the other question was “what do both passages agree on?”

@wavegate: Well koala’s wasn’t really a big part of my reading either. It was only mentioned briefly, but I remember it for some reason. Was your’s about human taste or something along those lines?

Can anyone tell me WHY WHY WHY and WHAT the answer to APARTMENT QUESTION! (ALASKA)

I THINK IT’s something about challenge… because it was way too idyllic and she wanted to challenge something. it was definitely NOT about attitude or that…

They agree that greater tourism can cause harmful effects on the environment. The first paragraph did not really emphasize the need for regulation, but instead downplayed the actions that are being taken. Was the answer to one of the eco questions, Passage 2 innovates a solution … Passage 1 something. I do not exactly remember

@Rennir, no i dont think i had anything about human taste, but i had 2(reading), 3(math), 4(reading), 5(writing), 6(reading), 7(math), 8(reading), 9(math), 10(writing) or something along those lines. im pretty sure i had 4 reading,

i know i had 3 questions with Passage 1 and Passage 2, and ones with chlorophyll, alaska, paige, ecotourism, grandmother’s letter, gate control theory

@Koharvard: I thought the alaska one was something about the flair (or something with a pos. connotation) of urban cities

^ I am pretty sure it was not the glamour of urban cities because the author was portraying the idyllic, rural nature of Alaska in a positive light. I put something about past and present. (rural vs. urban)

@bio1995 ok thanks, i thought “fancy …” showed the glamour. i dont see how it would be present/past, unless i missed something about the passage. i thought he was just showing how alaska compared with cities, i didn’t see any comparison of time?

I think it was an author concern since she said that alaskans didn’t have to worry about fancy schools and apartments

does anyone have a resolute argument for direct instead of perform

im guessing its direct (i put perform) but even now im not sure

^ That makes more sense. I do not know why I put past vs. present.

@hello, I don’t know the exact wording of the question, but I’m 100% sure it didn’t use the word “tone.” Also, not to ■■■■■, but i think the “broadcast” one was displayed openly. She said they were scattered throughout her house, and yes, her aunts’ houses too, and that they acted as chairs, carpets, etc. She used the old pieces of the house as pieces of furniture in her own house, as did her aunts

For the Alaska one, it mentioned at the very top, “Today we go into a blah blah blah”. Which contrasts with the past.

and for the apartment and private school one, I put that it was challenging the stereoptypes of a city. Private schools and apartments are obviously stereotypical aspects of a town/city, but the author was saying that one wouldn’t find them in Alaska.

same andrewshreds!
