actually it was reconcile/dogmatic and acknowledge/polemical

@caseydeann I’m not sure if glamorizing negatively would be called glamorizing at all…

acknowledge/polemical

Just out of curiosity, is this much dissension on CR answers common here when the SAT comes around? This i my first time on these boards after a SAT test was administered.

@caseydeann
You can’t glamorize negatively unfortunately. Something bout living places and getting into certain institutes etc…

Dang. Then I guess I’m wrong and added some subjectivity in there.

What’s everyone’s opinion on the second Alaska question, about why he brought up apartments and fancy schools? I thought he wanted to contrast present and past lifestyles since nothing else really made sense.

apn00b : Alaska was in the present. So was his life. The locations affected the environment. Hes basically bringing in his contrast with his world and why Alaska seems so nice

I also want to be among those who strongly believe it was “self-satisfied.” Initially, I chose “conscientious” but then caught her saying she “breezily” went about editing her grandmother’s letters and felt NO regret.

anyone else remember mirror evoke one?

Yeah, it was “mirrored” and “evoked.”

@rad2 So what was your answer then?

@apn00b

I put concern for that one because I it seemed as if she was giving examples of concerns from her own life that aren’t present in Sesame Street Alaska

no i mean the setence for mirror evoked. i forget what i put

@Rayqauza: I got that experimental as well.

for the leaves one, did you guys get that the chlorophyll breaks down?

Nope it’s that it isn’t produced in the fall anymore. Passage said that chlorophyll is broken down in summer too, but plants produce more of it so it’s still green.

Dang, I overlooked that choice. I thought that the writer was grown up and speculating about the bucolic nature of Alaska (she wouldn’t be concerned with getting into fancy schools). I also thought mothers stitching together fur-coats and vast expanses of nothingness seemed like something in the past, contrasted with the apartments and prep schools which I assumed were in the present.

Anyways, I agree with your answer.

WOW. I quit. 2/3 wrong already.
Do you think an 800 is still possible?

^^^ I’m know I got 2/3 wrong already, but most of my unsures were correct, so I’m guessing a 5 wrong. That’s like 750?

i think it had to do with a book and illustration but i can’t remember mirror evoke exactly
