I hate to bring this up but…
In regards to the “broadcast” question, the passage said that the artifacts “gleamed with a serene light” and “the silver was heavier, the embroiders richer, etc” . This would lead me to believe that the artifacts gained importance or substance which would make displayed openly, not distributed widely, the correct answer.

I chose displayed openly, but the distributed widely convinces me because of the “scattered here and there”

^
That makes no sense. Just because they were more valuable doesn’t mean they were displayed openly

no like 690

I think the passage implies that people viewed the objects more often (and thus the objects gained importance), so to me distributed widely is not the correct answer. Also, just because it said the objects were “scattered here and there” doesn’t mean the objects were distributed widely between the two households. It could mean the objects were located everywhere (displayed openly) within the two houses.

so what are all of your honest curve predictions?
im thinking 10/10 potentially nicer

You guys are gunna make me pay for QAS…

I hate to ask this again, but what was the sentence completion one like “Calling him a ____ might seem harsh, but he worked hard with important people to get his way.” One of the answers was neophyte. I put the one that started with an “s,” but I can’t remember the word to save my life… and it’s keeping me awake at night. lol

I don’t remember this question… maybe an experimental section?

@Aigiqinf

I don’t remember that one. Did you have a reading experimental?

I had that question too. I put sycophant… I hope it was experimental…

syc·o·phant (sk-fnt, sk-)
n.
A servile self-seeker who attempts to win favor by flattering influential people.

I was right!

I think it was an experimental, I don’t remember it.

“Scattered here and there” throughout the households. Hence, displayed openly. Plus can “widely” really be only between two households?

@Syndekit

Yeah, the widely was what caused me to doubt distributing as the answer with that question.

Thank you! Finally someone agrees with me!

I can’t figure out which experimental I had. How do I know. lol And I put that too! High five!

I thought the “households” were those of aunts, uncles, cousins, and an indeterminate number of other relatives.

Did you also have the annoying-as-**** passage about omnivores and cuisine? If so, you had the same experimental CR I did.

Yep, I had that one. So I had experimental CR?

No, on page 73 of this discussion it says something along the lines of my house and the houses of my aunts. So, assuming the author (at worst) has 2 aunts that still does not mean “widely.” I would think “distributed widely” if the objects were distributed to her entire family, but the passage does not mention that.
