2011 Meme?

So last year was “Imma let you finish, but [insert event] was the best of all time” and the year before that was “Why so serious?”, so what is this year’s meme to write into all of our FRQs? I’ve usually seen it before now, but I couldnt find the one for this year.

There was a thread about this a little bit ago I think they decided to do Friday quotes “Its friday” “Gotta pick which sear to sit in” etc

It appears as if no one cares this year. I did see the thread suggesting “Friday” lyrics, but I am not sure how many people will be doing that. It’s just not as funny unless a whole mass of people do it.
I may do it if I’m not too caught up in the zone. Maybe for my last essay on each of them. My APUSH teacher is a grader, and I really want to write something about him, but I’m not sure if I’ll get in trouble or not over that, since the essays are supposed to be completely anonymous.

I did the 300/Sparta ones a few years ago; the following ones just seemed stupid.

I heard it was going to be “Hide your girlfriend, hide your kids,” which imo would be funny since it has meaning outside of the Internet.

“Hide yo kids, hide yo wife…”

“Bi-winning”

“It’s Friday, fun fun fun fun”

I did “BTW, you don’t find Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris finds you.”

I don’t get it why do you guys write these things?

Well, think about it this way. Would you like a decent laugh while in the middle of reading essays for 8 hours straight?

^I would find it more of an annoyance than funny

I take the professional route and don’t write anything, but I agree that reading things like these would be funny. Then again, after reading 100 papers that have the same joke, I might change my mind…

Also, my Psych teacher told us to write a thank you note to our AP grader, because whenever he reads one (he’s an AP grader) it always makes his day. Little things like that are cool.

FallenAngel, so do you have to cross out your thank you note too, or do the graders realize it’s not part of your essay?

The one I was invited to said “WELL, OBVIOUSLY…”

I might do a “Friday” quote for APUSH, considering the test is on a Friday…

@Isurus - He didn’t tell us. I’d imagine it wouldn’t matter, though, at least not for many of the exams. The AP graders are trained to give you points, not subtract them, so if you have something incorrect it usually isn’t counted off as long as you have the right answer.

If you want to do this and want to be safe, just put a light (but visible) line through the text so it is still easily readable. Only possible negative for that is the reader will see the line and just skip that sentence, so they won’t get your message.
