Need to Complete Task in September
Deadline for Submission: October 14th, 2011</p>

<p>Step 1: Make U.S.-grown rice the center of a promotion activity you conduct this September.
Some sample topics/themes are:
• Nutritional benefits of U.S.-grown rice
• Culinary versatility of U.S.-grown rice
• Economic importance of U.S. rice production and processing
• Conservation and environmental benefits of the U.S. rice industry
Remember: Your promotion must be conducted in September.</p>

<p>Step 2: Tell us about it.
• Submit your entry by Oct. 14, 2011.

Step 3: Entries will be judged on creativity and impact in promoting:
• U.S.-grown rice and National Rice Month.
• The importance of rice to your state.</p>

<p>The USA Rice Federation’s 2011 National Rice Month Scholarship Program will award three awards. One national grand-prize winner will receive a scholarship award of $4,000. One second-place award of $3,000 and one third-place award of $1,500 will be presented.
The national grand prize will be presented in December at the USA Rice Outlook Conference in Austin, TX. Trip expenses for the national grand-prize winner and one chaperone are included.</p>
