I’m with annashlynn, I don’t think it means anything either.

Yeah i think the email was sent to everyone with a 3.75+.

My friend got in with a 2.9 as a Women’s Studies major… (Sat, April 25, 2009)

I got into UCLA last year (April 23, 2010) as a LAS major with a 3.0.

But I screwed up and got my decision revoked. So I am giving it another try this year with a 2.9 as a Chicano Studies major. I hope to hear good news back soon! :/

Anyone have any comments? Have you heard of people being re-admitted? HELP!!!

I would have a 3.75+ if I didn’t have to count in a stupid C that I got from a college course i took while in HIGH SCHOOL. Ugh not over it. =[

@323guy,

May I ask what the screw-up was?

@morshe thanks a bunch but idk I’m really confused about my whole major gpa thing idk how to count it…

Nothing at all for me. Of all the tricks, all I’ve had is stuff that could be attributed to the summer session thing. :-(

do i have to pay $400?
im an international student.
im not going to take summer.
however, i enrolled summer to logon myucla.
do i have to pay registration fee?

@nick_scheu- you don’t see any fin aid info on your ursa?

@ jyoungs

I had a provisional contract and did not meet it. I got 2 C’s. Yet that semester I was taking 16 units at my CC, 5 at UCLA, and working. So 21 units in total. My schedule was super intense.

I regret it, but hey! I believe in second chances and if UCLA accepted me the first time then hopefully they will again this year. GO BRUINS! :D

Good luck to everyone!

Nick, even with both of our OOS/LAC credits, you’re GPA is higher than mine, your CCC GPA is WAY higher than mine… You have WAY better EC’s your major is less impacted than mine. And I know I haven’t gotten back to you on your essays(sorry I only use my phone) but your essays were so much more passionate than mine. There’s a level of randomness to this. Don’t give up hope love.

Holy *****! you’re right! …after seeing your post, I just checked and my major appears too. Yesterday I was a summer sessions student!

@323GUY where the provisions to maintain a certain gpa or just not get any C’s?

See victor! BerkeleyPhil, where you at? Maybe yours showed up too?

i have to sign up for summer session to log into MyUCLA?

i think so…

4.0 polisci, regents invite.

Got the Alumni Association call and e-mail. Lonnnnnnng application though. I don’t know if I’ll have time to fill it out as well as desired without compromising my 4.0 this semester (final exams
are coming up).

@la4ever09

Nope. No financial aid info at all.

My real last name starts with a W. Maybe between that and my GPA oddities I’ve been stuck at the bottom of the pile (that is, if I was a B last name with the oddities, or if I was a more straightforward candidate with a W last name, I would have heard something, but since I’m both, I haven’t).

Meh, who knows.

@jaynami so shes serious lol i dunno how she got the call shes a sociology major

So what is the exact process for getting a MyUCLA email? Something to do with the summer session? Sorry if it’s been asked already.
