2011 UCLA Transfers: The Central Thread for Discussion and Decisions

Nick – make some space for PMs…

Okay, we’ve done a little experimentation. It doesn’t appear that this means anything, but I’ll post it for interest’s sake.

Look up your name at [UCLA Campus Directory](http://www.directory.ucla.edu). Here’s what we’ve found so far:

A weak applicant who hasn’t messed around with the summer stuff does not appear.
A strong applicant who hasn’t messed around with the summer stuff does not appear.

A weak applicant who has messed around with the summer stuff does appear.

So, right now, it looks like the only students who are listed messed with the summer stuff (and actual students, staff, and factory, of course). If you find that you are listed, but did not do the summer session tricks, post. That would suggest the directory has some legitimacy.

I am able to sign into myucla and a message of successful sign in appears but then it logs me out. Any ideas why? has it happened to anyone else. By the way i can still log into my URSA and see my financial aid.

Is log-in information for MyUCLA same as the log-in information for URSA?

Ack I am listed! I don’t want my personal info showing up! I never even enrolled in summer, I just browsed the courses, as I will enroll if I am accepted.

Yeah, it looks like just browsing the courses for summer makes you appear there. Is there anyone who hasn’t browsed the summer courses who does appear?

@socal girl I know so sooo many people from Moorpark who want to get into UCLA, the anticipation is killing them/me! It is my second year there, what about you?! It is so cool that people from the same area are on this forum, who would have guessed?! Lol…and I noticed you are taking stats! I am too!! Are we in the same class!!!

I still think MyUCLA isn’t anything special - people who have browsed summer session material can see it. Stick to financial aid on URSA, people. At least that has some credibility judging by the last two years. Just leave MyUCLA alone; it means nothing. Really.

Although there were people who got accepted that didn’t see their tracking document, it’s still a better indicator. Everything should be taken with a grain of salt.

@LA

I never did fill out the fafsa, but i don’t know iif that would be connected to the housing stuff.

You guys!! How about we all calm down and wait for a day or two so we all don’t end up crazy! Lol

I think myUCLA means a lot. Everybody who does not have their major show up are probably rejected, but still you got a shot.

So is log-in information for MyUCLA the same as that for URSA? I’m able to get into URSA, but for some reason have never been able to access MyUCLA since I made my account and log-in information last week.

Plus theres a glitch in some of the. Peoples myucla because some people see that their majors keep appearing and disapeering.

lmao nero, I love your posts.

8.5/10; subtle yet not-so-subtle ■■■■■ - it gets the job done!

@volume12- yeah I’m in my second year too! and i’m taking statistics with chris francom mon/wed from 10-12:15, its soo easy haha. i honestly dont think i got into ucla though because of my major, its too competitive. last year they only picked 102 people for com! and all the hacks that everyone is talking about, i dont see any of it except for myhousing so thats not too good of a sign :/

Hopefully UCLA will release announcements starting tomorrow! Good luck everyone!

Socalgirl-not even your financial aid?

thanks levonid.

btw, I think you have good shot at UCLA as well

Pinoiako916: nope not at all  it just says that I have no document to track or something. But everything else I can see, like myhousing, bruin card, stuff like that, but that could mean anything. Plus I can’t see my major which kinda sucks. Maybe my fafsa didn’t go through? I dont know, its so nervewrecking haha. URSA is the same thing as myucla right?

It’s weird that some people are opposite. I can see my financial aid and major on MyUCLA but not the housing or bruin card. I think all these little random things are system glitches.
