2011 UCLA Transfers: The Central Thread for Discussion and Decisions

So in the last few weeks, I’ve tried to sift through all the UCLA related posts from 2010 and what remained of 2009 for any information I could find. I feel sorry for next year’s applicants who are going to have to go through 200+ pages in this thread alone lol.

Yes but trying to find out something (I.e admission decisons) before you are supposed to is unethical

@Belkster, Any common information for those who were accepted? Or any trends you noticed?

If you worked your butts off you wouldn’t be that worried about not getting in…but whatever good luck ppl, if this is how you guys enjoy spending ur sunday night then by all means go ahead! Adioss :)

@volume - then get the hell off this thread, because all we do here is have sex and devise clever ways to see if were admitted or not.
do you still get breast fed or something? novice.

@r6

It seems the main thing people focused on last year was the URSA FA Summary and Doc Tracking. There were two large batches of updates to those records; one occurred approximately one week prior to decision day and the second happened the night prior. Most people who saw their summary and doc tracking got admitted but also, many people who didn’t see it got admitted as well. Essentially, if you can see it’s a good sign, but if you can’t it doesn’t mean anything yet.

One person who did see it however, reported that he was rejected (possibly others were rejected who could see FA information but just didn’t want to report). I tried searching his previous posts for more information on him (i.e. stats) but couldn’t find anything. I found it kind of peculiar he was the only one. I think what would have been important to know is if he could see the information since the first batch or the second. If it was the second, it would support Ella’s statement that FA only processes for admitted and pending applicants. It’s possible he was a pending applicant, so they processed his FA, but ended up being rejected later. (If that were true, then it would also follow that everyone who saw their FA one the first batch were confirmed acceptances).

There doesn’t seem to be much information regarding the myUCLA major update (besides people being able to see it the day of admissions) or housing application. We seem to be the first year that really started to compare what we could see/access.

tl;dr URSA FA Check (I don’t like calling it a “hack” because it’s not) is really the only legacy that the previous CC classes left us with.

@volume - California’s economy and the budget cuts in education can cause anxiety in the most competitive applicant, especially as the pool of applicants grows larger.

I HAD A DREAM LAST NIGHT THAT I WAS ACCEPTED!!! Is that a sign??? God I hope so

Redo!!! Finally I was thinking the same thing. No one forces you to read this or participate so either get on board with the chill people in this thread or bounce. And I will continue to enjoy my Sunday on this thread!

hahaha HEY, I think I started posting on this thread with 300 posts ;)

hell yeah beatpedo so will i!

to all high and mighty noobs out there: if you cant stand the heat, GET OUT THE KITCHEN

cuz its cookin’ in huurrr ;)

just my guess. people who see “application unavailable” for their housing are those who have accessed the application before when it was open for some hours. i didnt, so i see the message “unsure of your enrollment” instead.

So the word is its tomorrow at around 7 pm eastern???

The word is some might be posted at 4 PST or 7 EST.

Note: The “some might.” Not will or definitely but some and might.

@passwordis123

Interesting theory… Makes a lot of sense. Not sure it’s true, but it’s logical.

I tried accessing housing a while ago (about a week) and got the Unsure of Enrollment (Housing has been notified, etc.) message. While the application was open and people got through, I wasn’t home so I wasn’t able to check. When I checked later that night, I started to get the Housing Application is unavailable message. I don’t really know what to make of it.

of course mine won’t probably one those… who knows. Praying for everyone to get in!

@Mitch, haha <3

@password/nick - I’m pretty sure everyone who could open the housing app before, get the application is unavail. error, and if you would be able to open it you’d still get that error(even if you hadnt tried previously). The people who couldn’t got the “we are unaware of your enrollment status” and still are.

I’m not sure if thats going to make sense to anyone other than me

@Belkster - that means when they updated you prob would have been able to get in, but it’s closed now…

ya nvm my theory. im just mad that im rejected. rofl
