<p>Adopt a Veteran
Heres the challenge: Find a military veteran you do not already know. Get involved in that persons life. Make a friend, discover his (or her) history, his feelingsthen and nowand how he would like to spend the rest of his life. </p>
<p>Write a 1500 word essay about the experience (and continue to cultivate the relationship, of course). Beyond the contest itself, our hope is that you will really enjoy the process of befriending a veteran.</p>
<p>This would also look good on other applications
