2012-2013 Statement of Non-Tax Filers Form for Verification

<p>Hey, so I got selected for verification for Georgia Tech and I did not and was not required to file a tax return for the 2011 year, but my parents did. For the non-tax filers form, there’s a section for the parents, do I leave that blank? (Since they’ll be getting the tax transcript for the 1040 my parents filed.)</p>

<p>My S was also selected for verification. I emailed the financial aid office and they told me to fill the Non-Tax Filers form in full, including parents section even though my husband and I did file taxes for 2011. Your parents can request the Return Transcript on the IRS web site. I was able to order one about 10 days after I filed the return.</p>

<p>I got an email saying I have to send in my parents’ Georgia state taxes?
Does that mean I’m selected for verification as well?</p>
