The fine print is below. What do they mean by 12th class day?

“Notes: Grade point averages (GPAs) listed are current GPAs for undergraduate students enrolled as of the 12th Class Day. Students who have not yet established a GPA as of the 12th Class Day,
such as first-time freshmen, are not included in average cumulative GPA calculations.”

The 12th day of class was Sept 14 when the official census was taken. First time freshman for this fall could not have established a GPA by then, so they were not counted in average cumulative GPA calculations. The only freshman it included would be those who started in the Spring or Summer semester of 2012.

4 years graduation rate doesn’t look good.
And I believe it means that the above GPA includes transfer students, summer students and freshmen from previous year who did not become sophomores. Taking into consideration how counselors are pushing 12 credits hours per semester instead of 15 I would not be surprised if the number of these students is significant.

Natural Sciences GPA is lower because Natural Sciences will take UGS students (internal transfer) with 2.81, and Engineering and Business Admin will not.
