** 2012 UCSD Transfer Decisions Thread **

@nitole

I’ll definitely call them. I’ll still try to send them just in case. But for whatever reason UCSD doesn’t receive my ap scores, will I be rescinded?

I don’t think my last post went through.

@nitole

What happens if i don’t send the score in? Will I get rescinded?

I definitely stressed that when I asked and he assured me they only use it for placement/credit purposes for transfers. So no, you shouldn’t be rescinded.

@itspat: I would like to know too. I had my transcripts already receieved, just waiting on AP. I’m planning to call them in the morning because I’m worried UCSD hasn’t even recieved mine despite sending them out in May. Did you get a confirmation copy in the mail? When did you send your scores in? I also called UCSD and they said to wait a week for me (although, that’ll be past the July 15th deadline, which is making me worry).
As for your transcripts, they should have receieved them… did you make sure your school send them in? I had to contact my school and fill out forms to have it sent out to UCSD. I’m no sure how other schools do them.

As for the importance of sending AP scores, I don’t think it really matters unless, like me, it fulfilled a requirement for the GE requirements like IGETC.

@chocolatebar I was able to get my official high school transcript sent to my house address (all offices at my high school are closed until end of July) and I had to mail it myself to UCSD. The dean I got in contact with asked a person who was in charge of handling transcripts and the person sent me an official copy. I sent the transcript in a priority mail envelope on June 29th; it should have been at UCSD by July 2nd, but I’m not sure cause the myapplication website hasn’t updated that UCSD received my transcript.

As for AP, I didn’t receive the confirmation copy yet, but I think I should be getting them this week. I ordered my AP tests to be sent to UCSD on July 1st.

@itspat: I went over to UCSD and submitted my transcripts in person at Warren College around June 14th. I didn’t even see it on MyApplication until June 28th. It still said on MyApplication that it was receieved on the 14th, but for some reason, it seems like it takes about two weeks for MyApplication to update…

As for AP, my friend sent them in on July 2nd (rush order) but has yet to receieve a confirmation copy. I called collegeboard and the representative said it was sent to UCSD, my high school, and my house.

k so the myapplication website updated and it received my ap scores + high school transcript, but one high school transcript is not showing, when all of them should be. sighs I really hope UCSD is just lagging on updating cause it would be a huge hassle to send over that one transcript.

Wow that sucks. UCSD is on top of its game in terms of updating myapplication for me anyways. They updated within 2 days of receiving my ap scores, transcript and igetc. Thank God too because I’m on vacation now and I would be stressing if they didn’t update it prior to the deadline

Soooo just curious, since our room selection stuff will be sent out tomorrow and what not, but has anyone had a chance to go visit and check out our dorms at The Village yet? :P

so…which apartment looks appealing to you guys? i like apartments 8104, 1001, and 5105 :slight_smile: but they really could have used a clearer picture for 1001.

but my login time is july 23rd LOL so the ones I would like to live in are wishful thoughts

I haven’t chosen specific apartments yet, but I know which buildings and floor plan I want. :stuck_out_tongue: Haha. I’m hoping to get VE Building 1 on the 12/13th floor. :slight_smile: hehe. Are you doubling up or riding it out soloooo?

Not sure about that; I put no preference for the double or single rooms so it’s up to UCSD to decide for me :p. I didn’t look carefully at the floor plans yet; i’m planning on doing that later today. man i wish it was already september.

Whoa, you really have no preference for that?! Hahaha, well I guess that’s going to be a nice surprise for you then! Lol, annnd yeah some of them are a slightly weird layout but it seems like the rooms are bigger cause of that. :wink: Hahaha. And oh! Mine is July 20th so I’m pretty confident I’ll be able to get a single and hopefully my building of choice lol.

^^ what time on the 20th?

I got into UCSD fall 12. Can I enroll and go to my community college classes as back up? In case I get rescinded or something happens?

^Of course, I don’t see why not.

@Actraiin, at 12:20! :slight_smile: Hehe. How about you?

And at @Integraballer, yeah you can! I registered/enrolled for my CC too just in case. :)

when you pick a date for your orientation, when do you receive the bill statement?

@dostranvia 12:18 on the 20th haha. I wonder how many are before us haha. I really want a single
