you could only transfer with one Semester of college by having earned dual college credit at a community college while in High School. Ap credits would also play a role in this because you redeem them at your first semester college for course credit that can be transferred as apart of the 30hr requirement. So to answer your question it is very possible but is not the usual choice of route @Korrgaard

@Griddz awww I’m sorry to hear that

How long until us extended deadline applicants hear a decision? Finals are next week for me and it takes about two more weeks for my grades to show up on my transcript. UT got my fall transcript within two days so they should get there pretty fast but how long after that do I have to wait?

@ jpgarcia6

Just by looking at a past transfer thread, it varies because of the different colleges. I saw some hearing back a few days after sending transcripts (usually COLA) to about a month.

Sigh. I was asking if anyone here did it. I already know the requirements and etc…

awww Gridzz i am sooo sorry to hear that. Yous should call them ASAP and see if you can arrange for your spring transcripts to be sent for evaluations. don’t give up.

Between i got accepted.
super excited
Good luck y’all still waiting

@Sandykeen, OMG! Congratulation girl! Really happy for u!!!

@sandykeen, are you intl’ student and what’s your major?

ACCEPTEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

International transfer, electrical and computer engineering.

So happyyyy

@ Tahinak thanks alot ma soeur :-).
@ramoneitor CongratsZZZzzz
@ivanp09, yes i’m an int’l student and i got accepted into my first major, Chemical Engineering.

I think business is the last college to make decision. Still waiting

I envy you guys, I still have another 10 days before I can send in my final transcript… Hopefully it won’t take more than a day or two after UT receives it to accept me.

Has anyone ever applied twice as a transfer student?

@Kimimaro, my friend got the decision from mccombs yesterday…

How about Communications? How long do they usually take? Because if I am not accepted into UT my backup plan is UT Dallas and July seems like a very short time frame for me to get everything together.

Lol, UT Dallas…

@Ivanp09 do you mind if I ask his/ her result and stats?

I’m getting reaaal worried about my chances at Cockrell. An acquaintance of mine got denied to Chemical with a ~3.8-9 (he had cal 1-3, phys 1-2, chem 1-2). He’s an international though, so idk how that played for him. I’m a >30 hour student, so I’m guessing I’ll be competing for the very last spots for my major (which is petro)

Good luck to all of ya’ll!

Holy ****, 3.9 and they rejected your friend? Damn

My stats are: (Accepted for Electrical engineering)

-International Transfer
-99 out of 100 average on all my courses (I guess that’s a 4.0 GPA?)
-No recommendations letters
-Normal essays
-Lots of volunteer work and stuff like that
-108 in iBT Toefl
-30+ credits
-No work experience

Wish you all good luck!

@averagejosh im also waiting to here back for PetE. I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing we haven’t heard back yet but Im glad I’m not alone loll. Goodluck man, keep me posted
