Hey jpgarcia6 is it possible that you can sort everything out for UT-D now but then cancel your enrollment when you’re admitted to UT?

I doubt it. Even if I did it would be a waste of money.

Just got accepted into the College of Communication, Pre-Journalism.

When did you submit your spring transcripts?

I sent in mine on May 20th, it was received on the 21st. MyStatus didn’t change until the 25th.

Well damn. Mine only took about two days to update. Everything was processed by the 15th of June and still no response yet.

just got into the college of communications-RTF! :)

Let me guess, 4.0 GPA? It looks like they are accepting those with spectacular GPAs. My GPA is only a 3.57 so I doubt I will hear as quickly.

I’ve been following this thread pretty closely, best of luck Jpgarcia, hope you get in!

Thanks! At this point I’d be perfectly happy just getting into my second choice of UGS!

Are rejections held til the last moment? or is it just all kind of random, in which order the applications are looked over… Like for example, I can possibly get accepted a week from now while someone else can get rejected today or tomorrow…?

I believe the latter. Not really sure how second choices work though. I don’t know if both colleges look over your application at the same time with the second choice college waiting until your primary choice makes a decision.

I’m just hoping they don’t wait til june 20 or beyond to tell me that I wasn’t admitted ><

Got accepted to rtf. I’m so excited

Accepted into PR Communications!!!

Congrats you guys!!
I just wish my majors were half as responsive as y’all’s. -__-

Congrats to those that have been accepted!

For you that are waiting, hang in there! I was in the same spot you were in. If you guys have any questions about UT let me know I’ll try to help you out.

Hook Em

Is there a specific time range during the day when you can expect a decision? Or is it pretty random?

kha1ed,

Is it better to do orientation as soon as possible? Or can I do the late one in august. I’m afraid that all the classes will be filled up by then… Don’t they reserve spots for people that come to orientation?

jpg: Both times I applied I found out in the morning(around 10 both times). However, I think it’s random because my friend found out at the end of the day.
