anj: I would definitely try to get the earliest one possible because you will have a better chance at getting the classes you want. I had to register 7 days before classes started and it was awful.

So my appeal was approved, spring grades were requested, and UT received them today but my application status never changed from not admitted to anything else??

My friend is CAP and hes still waiting for his acceptance. Hes guaranteed in but he still can’t register for classes and sign up for orientation until they send him a legit admission.

Hey kha1 when you mean end of the day do you mean around 4 or 5ish or sometime that night?

The day I found out, my status hadn’t changed my noon that day. I went out for a few hours, and when I got back at around 4 p.m., the status changed to accepted.

Just accepted! My feels are so excited!!
Pre-nursing
4.0 gpa/36 credits

Sigh. Anybody who heard back from the College of Communications did you all have near perfect GPAs (i.e 3.8 or higher)? Maybe that’s why I haven’t heard back yet.

I have a 3.9 with 42 hours and I am trying to transfer into CNS for Comp Sci and/or Engineering for Petroleum. I send my application Apr 27th and still have not heard back. So I’m not sure if they are necessarily going in order of GPA. Perhaps, but who knows.

I was thinking that if you have a higher GPA you will likely hear faster since it’s easier for them to make a decision about you. People with average GPAs have to wait since admissions has to look at essays, classes, letters etc hence why they take longer.

Yeah. I had a 4.0 so I am guessing that is why i got accepted earlier

Yeah I had a 3.8 and got into Comm yesterday

I think the best time to check is after lunch time. I got accepted at 2 pm and I had checked earlier that day at around 11 am.

Just got accepted

This should ease some of you with the avg not 3.8-4.0
I was admitted this morning, to the college of liberal arts for psychology

GPA: 3.5
Essays: 3
No Recommendations

My first choice was the college of education, I guess I wasn’t qualified enough for it.
Admissions told me that education take the longest to decide, last year 458 applied to CoED but only 105 got in. So education is pretty competitive as well. I like COLA anyway thinking about changing my major. But yea just hang in there, the 3.8s-4.0s aren’t the only applicants being admitted its pretty random actually. Good Luck

Congrats chiUTAustin! How was your essays? Were you confident in them?

Today marks one month since my application was completely finished. Still no word :(

To be honest yes I was completely confident in all 3 of them.

Well they haven’t cut you yet jpgarcia! You’re still in the race! They would cut you faster than they could accept you so consider it a good thing you’re still in it!

Yeah but there’s still the possibility that I will wait for so long and end up denied. I kind of want to call them to ask but at the same time I don’t want to annoy them.

You should call them, they shouldn’t be annoyed with you if you’re polite. If they can’t answer your question or concern then at least you asked. :)
