<p>I’m still waiting for my admission status for UCSD. I have been accepted to UCD and UCI. I only applied to these three schools. My housing status is still the “bad” one…I really hope that this time around, I can attend UCSD because I absolutely love the school; the location, the awesome education provided, and the people. I am praying I will get in. And I hope that everyone who is still waiting for decisions get good news as well!!! And for those already accepted, CONGRATULATIONS! You cannot imagine how happy I am for you all.</p>

Strengths: Strong GPA despite huge obstacles (that were listed in my personal statement)
Weaknesses: Lots of W’s and a few F’s (some retaken, some not)
Why you think you were accepted: I worked my ass to get where I am, and come hell or high water I’m going to finish. My personal statement made that very clear.</p>
<p>General Comments:
I was completely floored by their offer of admission. I have a strong GPA and have overcome a lot, but I only have 3 of 10 pre-req’s complete. I had long written them off. I still am having a hard time believing I could be going to the school the little 9yo girl from the barrio dreamed of. It’s so surreal.</p>

<p>Hey there! My conditions don’t mention IGETC at all, I was told by my counselor it wouldn’t be a problem finishing over summer. The conditions state only to send college transcripts by July 15th, but it doesn’t specifically state IGETC. My Santa Barbara conditions, however, specifically state to send IGETC certification proof by July 15th. For Santa Barbara, my school said to just let them know I’ll send IGETC later since I’m finishing it over summer, and it won’t be a problem. I’m going to Santa Barbara today anyways so I will ask admissions. But to answer your question, no, San Diego didn’t mention anything about it. Good luck and I hope you get in!</p>
<p>@SBVett, I’m definitely leaning more towards San Diego right now, I think it’s a better school than SB and this whole “pre bio” thing with SB seems like an unnecessary risk that won’t happen at San Diego. I haven’t heard back from UCI either, but I know I won’t go there. I’m waiting on UCLA, but I know that’s suuuuch a long shot. I’ve also gotten into Davis and Riverside, but I’m no longer considering those.</p>
<p>@Lissie, wow, you have a lot of options, that’s awesome!! I only applied to UCSD and UCI as far as UCs go. Yes, bio is no longer impacted at UCSD, so it makes it a lot safer to guarantee your major 
I will be happy with either UC, but UCSD is a lot closer to where I live, so I would prefer UCSD just so I don’t have to commute too far, haha.
Well, good luck with UCLA! At least they let you know exactly when you find out… I hate not knowing when to expect a decision!</p>
<p>@SBVett thanks! Good luck with UCSD, my gpa is kinda low (3.38) and I didn’t have anything special in my personal statement or any great extracurriculars, so as long as your gpa is around mine, I think you’ll be okay! :)</p>
