Anybody know if I TAG in UCSD and I wanna change my college after I get in, is it possible?
I am a communication major. My first choice is Marshall and which college is most popular for communication major?

Yeah it was a pretty unimportant call. At first I thought they were gonna award me with a scholarship or something. Was minorly disappointing ;)

I hate to be a buzz kill but I don’t see any rejections. Does that mean rejections come out tomorrow? Just wondering.

@ emprex

I was rejected at UCI last year (terrible GPA and not enough units), and I was “Not Admitted” on April 30. I think the bulk of rejections come at the end, maybe to control the wave of Appeal letters?

Thanks, zomgrad! The number I called back was the direct number to a Student Affairs Officer, and, like I said, I left a message just in case.

is that mean i am going to be rejected if i still havent received reply today?
thanks!

More decisions will roll out until the 30th, and even then more will hear because of the waitlist. Don’t give up hope. Do you want to share your stats?

@ucdrone most of the people have received an email from ucsd to invite them to attend their event. I guess my chance is really small as my gpa is around 3.4

I’ve seen plenty of acceptances with GPAs near what you have. Go back 20-30 pages and you will definitely feel better.

By the way for next year students who have to wait… I got the housing message change and I got accepted to me it seems like it is a clear indicator if you get the change you have been accepted… thought this might help out you guys in 2014

^ same. My housing message changed a couple days ago and then I got accepted this morning.

Can you guys please reiterate which message is the “good” housing message again? Thaaaaaanks!

Dang, my housing message is still the same.

“Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact The Village Residential Services Office at 858-534-9380 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 6pm.”

I really wanted to go to UCSD too!
I’m still going to patiently wait until they tell me something.
Glad that I got into UCI today and UCD last Friday though! I know I’m going somewhere!!

This is the “good” message:
The Housing Office currently does not have updated information on your Admission Status and therefore cannot accept a housing application today. You may come back to this link once Admissions has communicated their decision on your application to UC San Diego. You can check this by logging in at myapplication.ucsd.edu.

-had ucsd email for months prior to acceptance
-housing message was “the good one” (unsure if it ever “changed” because I will live on my own in SD and had no reason to check housing prior finding out it could be an “indicator”)
-Financial aid changed within the past week from “we haven’t received your fafsa…etc” to a checklist of things to complete.

These aren’t 100% guaranteed indications of admission but because people did us the favor last year I’m doing it for next year students!

Hey guys!
First of all, congrats to all people who got accepted. Secondly, I hope others who are still waiting will get in asap. After all, I was just wondering that is there any electrical engineering major who get accepted. If yes, please let us know. Appreciate your time for reading this reply. Wish the best for all of you.

@BioToUcla Muir is very hard to get in. I think all the people from last 2 batches got it. Muir was my first choice, but i got placed in warren. lol. i am a molecular bio major, we should totally study together. lol still waiting for ucla.

@mermeid ohh wow really? I didn’t know that! So even if I put muir as my first choice I’d probably still get placed in warren lol. Yeah we should! I applied as molecular bio to ucla, I’m so anxious to know. If I get in ill seriously have no clue where I should go cuz they’re all amazing schools! We should talk about this some more once we find out about la :)
