2013 sat critical reading thread

It was definitely fairness. Compromise didn’t fit the context.

Does anyone remember the apple pie question? I answered culturally significant but trivial.

that doesnt sound familiar. it was probably your experimental.

@xCossack I put for the apple pie question something about something that is spoken to one other. I think that there would need more textual support to say that it was trivial and there was more of an emphasis on things that were spoken from person to person. I was struggling between that answer and the “trivial” answer though.

dont worry about that guys it was your experimental

@daltg… that wasn’t the experimental section. That was the one that was talking about spoken language vs written language, and how purely spoken language was better…

Yea that was the experimental. The math was pretty hard and anyone else remember the cr questions?

And the apple pie question was that it was an example of spoken

No it wasn’t. I had four math sections. We’re talking about the the oral language passage.

Yes @xcossack. I know what you mean haha. The apple pie had to do with the spoken language, and recipes being passed down. It wasn’t experimental

scores come out on my birthday :frowning: and i feel the math and cr was a bit difficult
did anyone have the passage about newton, shakespeare and contextual and physical(?) reality? what was the answer to the question about which topic most nearly matched shakespeare’s quote in the beginning of the passage? also, i know this is the CR thread, but did anyone know the answer to the question that showed two half circles on top of each other and said that the area of the unshaded regions was 8 pi and asked to find the area of the shaded region? thanks

were* & did anyone know the answer to the math question that said "if y is inversely proportional to the square of x and if z is directly proportional to y what is the relationship between x and y
thanks

The answer to the two circles one was pi and the relationship one I didn’t get at all

oh yea now i remember the apple pie one. it was def and example of something being passed down orally. and the physics one was experimental that i am sure of now.

Was the SC question about the Asian students graduation speeches experimental or real?

what were the passages in that section?

and what type of feeling did the meteorite passages first sentence give, i was stuck between confusion, excitement, and like caution or something like that. i forget what i put.

I think I put enthusiastic but I’m not sure

Umm I don’t remember. And th answers for sc were: catalogue, indoctrinate. And compile, commemorate

I think that was an experimental section cuz I don’t remember that at all
