2013 Transfer from NYU

<p>I was wait listed 2012 RD to uChicago and never really followed up</p>

<p>32 ACT
Volunteering ECs
3.84 GPA at NYU (18 credits / 1 B+ in a ridiculous essay class / Dean’s List)
I will most likely get a 4.0 spring semester
PreMed</p>

<p>I would like to say I have a good reason for transferring but it’s really just because NYU is too expensive. </p>

<p>Should I bother spending the 80 to apply?</p>

<p>I’m considering uPenn as well because I was also wait listed there. Would that be more realistic?</p>

<p>And my essay for 2012 made everyone who read it cry. It was supposed to be an optimistic essay, too. Who knows if that’s a good or bad thing. I kind of liked it.</p>

<p>UChicago is actually more expensive, so if your primary reason for transferring is price, I would choose a different school to transfer to. Although if you really want to attend UChicago, go ahead but be aware that the transfer acceptance rate is really low.</p>
