^
Seriously. I’m a measly 5’4", but I carry more punch for my size.

For firebunny’s sake, I will list the costs and benefits of being tall. It’s not as great as you might think.

Benefits:
-Can step over fences, gates, etc instead of going through them
-Greater ability to jump and reach high things
-Can spot others in a crowd, and can easily be spotted in a crowd
-Longer arms, which means longer reach, which means winning impromptu lightsaber battles
-Some girls find tallness attractive
-Asian parents think you are a superior person because you are taller

Costs:
-Accidentally run into branches, low walls, and (this almost happened yesterday) PARKING LOT CLEARANCE MARKERS
-Can’t fit in sports cars very well
-Dancing (the California way, which is basically standing dry-humping) is MUCH more tiring, unless you can find some tall girls (this, among other things, has contributed to my dislike of dancing)
-Harder to coordinate movements, again contributing to my dislike of sports and dancing
-Girls tend to not like guys who are much, much taller than them
-The first thing people say when you stand up is, “You’re tall”
-Relatives repeatedly insist that you’ve gotten taller since the last time they saw you, even if you saw them yesterday
-People like to speculate on your height, using heights of close relatives and spouses as a measuring stick

All in all, I’d say being tall is overrated.

Smart, tall Asian phenomenon still holds true at my school… generally the guys are all 5’8" up to 6’3", though girls’ height have a lot of variation. One year there was a 5’11" Asian girl.

fuzzyfirebunny, I heard there’s a lot of those types are Yale. Another reason to want to go. lol.

i’d kill for an asian guy over 6 ft. drools

A quick question - if I submitted my app on the 30th, and haven’t been contacted by now for an alumni interview, you think it’s pretty safe to assume I won’t get one? No biggie, but I was just wondering.

^probably not. it’s ok though

i love you guys and this thread
the idea that some of us may be future classmates/lifelong friends gets mee all exciteddddd

Pigs, you’re hilarious (in particular, your “I’d kill for an Asian guy over six feet” comment). I never use LOL but that’s exactly how I feel half the time.
I’d be fine with any guy taller than me. Wait, that would include every guy on this planet, so that statement was beyond useless. Personality first, then brains. I’ll worry about height last. And a great voice wouldn’t hurt. :P

What on earth is a parking lot clearance marker? I’ve never seen one. And the first thing people say when I stand up to say the pledge is, “you’re short.” :P

I think I’ve heard that somewhere around Dec.1-5 is the deadline for alumni interview reports. so probably not…sorry.
who knows, for the ones that don’t make it here, maybe some will end up going to the same schools anyways :]

I used to be unnaturally short freshman year and suddenly I’m normal height this year. All my short friends [with whom I’d constantly mourned being short] are jealous.

I just threw away the pants that I had worn since 5th grade. Height-wise, there is no more hope for me T.T

wow, that’s crazy.
I’m the same weight-wise…I’ve only gained two pounds since 8th grade and still fit into my middle school shirts :/

i wish i was a little bit taller,
i wish i was a baller,

Interview write-ups are due Dec.1 so if you haven’t heard by now, probably not!

hahahah i’m totally average when it comes to height and weight. TOTALLY. it’s quite insane. and shoe size. like my size is always the first to run out, even though it’s the most popular/common. kinnnnda sucks.

i had my interview today and it went really well! it was actually quite fun!

i can’t believe it’s almost december yall! that’s insane!!!

@pigs- seriously. I ve never met an Asian guy over 6 feet…over even close to 6 ft for that matter. the tallest asian guy I’ve ever met is 5’9, and he’s my cousin x(

i’d be all over a 6ft asian guy

oh well, white guys will do for now

A parking lot clearance marker is the big bar that says “Clearance 6’4"” so you know if your car will be able to fit in the parking lot. I barely made it, and if I hadn’t ducked, the girl on my back would’ve taken a good one to the nose.

^shrieks ur an asian guy over 6 ft with a 2400???

Only half.

^^ I thought you realized that much earlier. I was LOL’ing because I thought there would be an inevitable pigs-christiansoldier encounter. As in, “my ideal guy is…” and someone matches it. :P

Anyone know what happened to the facebook group for 2014 SCEA-ers?
