Oops. :frowning: I hope our beautiful foreign language conversations won’t be deleted… Sorry about that.

lo siento, pero soy un poco tarde… pero ME ECCANTA “MULAN”!!! it’s one of my all time favs  and your version is quite hilarious

it was raining when visited and i wasnt allowed to see the dorms, but I loved the library with the sweet architecture and rare books

Yes! I loved the rare books building. I really wanted to go inside to see the glass column out of which all the oxygen can be sucked in case of a fire, but it was closed when we got there :(

Durr I was in front of the Beineke library and Sterling and didn’t go in. Stupid me.

Really wish I had walked around more and actually found the right admissions office instead of the visitor center.

I totally do not deserve to be applying EA. . . lol

you have a french convo class? JEALUOS!! and lol thats awesome. we tend to say super cool more because it just sounds so ridiculous. I mean, theyre completely english words but they sound so french. and for french club, we made shirts that say “je suis cool” in huge letters on the front. they’re hot ;)

so, as this french convo was going down, CC gave me an advert for Rosetta Stone. It must know I took Japanese in HS

@ Stupefy:
Yeah, it’s an awesome class. we would say super cool but our teacher is crazy french and has a thing against english words in french… but I want a shirt that says je suis cool! i should stencil one… :D

Ay- Me entristece que me haya perdido esta conversacion en espanol. Me encanta el espanol. :(

I’ll stop now so I don’t get kicked off of CC.

In 52 minutes, there will be 7 days left!!!

I liked the pretty buildings.

ohh man it’s been 6 months since I last uttered a word of french. reading all those pages makes me realize how much of my french has escaped my brain since then :/

Ahh!!! So excited!

I hope that I can find out my decision at 5:00! I can’t imagine waiting til seven for the system to clear up.

two things.

 1. i loved everything about yale. i loved that there was a student sleeping in trumbull’s courtyard during our tour. i loved the food. i loved the fabulous psych professor i got to see. i loved that my student interviewer was very cute. i loved that i could park for free. i lovedthat the campus wasn’t large enough to the point that bikes are necessary (i firmly believe that i forgot how to ride a bike). i loved that the students were having conversations about everything from parties to classic literature, and that sometimes those two topics occured in the same conversation. i loved being able to read yales newspaper. i loved that the trees change colour (i live in southern california. our trees are green, brown, or nonexistent). I loved that it was not warm in october (again, my thanksgiving was 89 degrees). I loved that I actually saw a deans 8 year old daughter walking with a student and talking about literature. I loved that sterling is large enough to have its own tour. But most of all, I loved feeling part of the yale community by simply being on campus, regardless of the fact that there were so many people there.

I speak latin, so the last threeish pages made no sense to me :)

Haha oh man, even though I’ve been taking Latin for 6 years, all I can remember is Puellae sub arbore sedent or something along those lines/ Raeda in fossa manet. I suck at composition, but I can read it just fine.

same! did you max out your language too? I took AP french language last year, and since college board (DARN THEM) got rid of french lit because it “Wasnt bringing in enough revenue” I had nothing to take senior year

hey guys- do we check admissions decisions on the application status page (where we can now view our sat scores, etc) or on a different site?

yes I did…I took both parts of IB French + the AP and SAT II tests, etc etc. and after 6 months that one intense year of french ended up meaning nothing. ha.
…
At this very second our applications are most probably sitting in one of three piles in Yale’s admissions office.

It freaks me out to think that a decision has already been made. Gaahhhh! Think I’m going crazy. Checking my Eli account, looking up pics of bulldogs (rofl), searching for Yale fonts…Yup. I’m going insane. Haha.

^Scary thought! AHHH.

So what are yall’s plans for dec.15??
(This should be interesting…hahah)

I have NO idea what I’m doing that day but it’s smack in the middle of finals week sooo.

ok, i’m willing to bet that i will be accepted on dec 15th. anyone wanna decide the stakes for me?
