YES!! Another drama addict! Those ones I listed were the ones I already watched, do you have any good recommendations that are light- hearted and funny, o asian drama encyclopedia/ god?

Maybe they’re done… I mean, it is the 12-13th already! I’d imagine that they’re putting up the decisions online and on the 15th they’ll press some kind of magic button to make them visible to us. So maybe Yale will just defer/reject me (since my app’s not been fully reviewed) after getting me to send my scans and all… hehe. I had to badger my poor principal during the holidays and then rush to his house (school was closed before mock exams) to get everything signed. The things we do for love <3

^dude at least you have some correspondence. I havent heard anything at all! (except my interview)

anyway EA rate should be around 13-14 percent this year. RD rate is around 5% actually. i posted the article earlier on this thread about a week ago, if you want to search for it.

i had a dream a few nights ago that I went onto my email and saw an email from yale with subject line “Sorry” and then I woke up. GASP :(

Stupefy: dude, I didn’t even get an interview =( I really wanted one. And my friend, who got rejected by Yale last year tried to comfort me by saying that Yale is crowded/not that great (he visited recently) and that his interview was really tough/probing, etc. etc so I’m glad to have not gone through that pain. to cheer me up on my birthday. It was really nice of him, but it didn’t work
Ach, all you people dreaming of rejections makes me want a rejection dream ASAP. But life will not be so kind…

Yea I had a dream like that except the subject line was “LOL.” Scaaaary dream lemme tell you.

Gargh. I have a calc test on Monday that I really need to study for, but I have read the same problem five times - nothing is sinking in!

Ahhh all these dreams about yale!!! I don’t remember any of mine =[

Renovatio: massive mechanics test tomorrow and here I am, at 4.14am in the night, talking to you all. I couldn’t study all night even though I logged onto CC all cheerful and ready to try and cheer a few people up. Anxiety is a dreadful thing :P

I’m so nervous for Tuesday! But this site helps a lot:

[MIT Admissions | Blog Entry: “Things to Do While Waiting for Decisions”](http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/misc/miscellaneous/things_to_do_while_waiting_for.shtml)

Otherwise I don’t know what I’d do…I’ve been panicking! I hope I get in.
I want it sooo bad!

Weird, I haven’t had any college dreams yet! When I think about Yale, I go from " I should be optimistic and hope I’ll get in" but later I start thinking I’m jinxing my luck by being overly confident so then I start thinking I’ll get rejected cause of my SAT, like my thoughts will actually change my decision!

YSPPRSU: thanks for sharing :)

“Think hard about not being one of those people who lists all the colleges they got into in their AIM profile. (As much fun as it is being pompous and loathed by everybody, just don’t do it. Nobody likes that guy. You don’t want to be that guy, do you?)”

Ohh, I know too many of those people. -_- hehe

What the hell are we supposed to do with ublec?

I actually LOLed at this!!

hahhah that blog is great

haha, I envision imaginary schools all the time. Actually, it’s a lot of fun, you guys should try it:)

ughh, I emailed my adcom a while ago to tell her that I checked the wrong essay question on my common app. she hasn’t responded…do they usually email you back?

All my friends are getting acceptance letters…I really want at least one so I can know I’m going somewhere next year :x

Chibistar: sometimes they email you back, sometimes they don’t. Would it matter too much if you checked the wrong box? Maybe you could have tried faxing Yale, since the website said that adcoms might take upto 2-3 wks to reply. It seems they disappear when you need them the most… Once I asked if they got my SAT report and I never heard again. And again, like now, when my adcom asks for my score reports to be sent again and verified (2 days before the answers are out!) even though she said that she received them already (I mean, I got them signed by my principal and mailed her – she said I could mail her and it’d be fine)… ach, I’m just gonna get my school to send them again tomorrow.

So much hassle…

Anyway, I think the adcoms are having a pretty busy week. Hang in there guys guys! :)

How do you know who the adcom for your region is?

Initially I emailed the general student questions bureau to tell them about the problem with my testing center which was causing my scores to be released late… They routed me to my regional admissions officer :)

TerrenceC – if you explore yale’s admissions website, there’s a dropdown list giving you the admissions officer for your particular state/region.

slakedlime - It’s probably gonna matter since my essay and the question I checked have nothing to do with one another. then again, they’re so different that the people reading the essay would probably figure it out without me having to tell them…hopefully.
when I didn’t hear from my adcom for a week I freaked out and emailed the student center, too…they just resent the email to the adcom. oh well. and you’re right, they must be crazy busy this week…

less than 72 hours guys!! it’s almost hereee…

Chibistar: don’t worry so much then
I’m sure they care more about the content of the essay than its title… unless the title is the key to figuring out your essay :P
