Yay sanguinity!!! Getting a first acceptance can boost your confidence =]

Sanguinity: hehe. I had a similar dream, long before I applied… But the thing about my dreams is that I always dream the opposite of what happens. Me being superstitious, I don’t expect much from Yale
But on a bright note, all the dreams of waking up in horror-movie type haunted houses or getting D’s in high school are never going to come true :D

I never have dreams usually though (well I don’t remember the ones I had at all).

This was a significant happening. Mebe I’m psychic!

Haha I had my second dream about Yale last night. This time, I was deferred…

Probably indicative of Stanford Slaughter yesterday.

Sanguinity: Hopefully you are psychic
And congrats on your first acceptance!

Thanks. I wonder if the last thing I dreamt ever came true. I never ever remember them.

ME TOO except this time I was rejected…ahh, I was so happy when I woke up and realized it wasn’t real lol.

stanford’s thread is looking ever-so-slightly better. the most recent page is mostly green and orange.

^ OHHH! LOVE THIS QUOTE APP!!!

My friend introduced me to You’re Beautiful, ISWAK 1 & 2, Fated to Love You, and BOF!! OH Great! Now everyone on CC knows I’m a girl!
They’re all romantic feel -good comedies, do you watch any??

Aww, I think I want a rejection dream about now! God, why are you so mean? ![]()
Ahh, I should have just applied ED to Amherst or Dartmouth
I hear they’re easier to get into… And I’ve decided against RD-ing to any more Ivies. Except Dartmouth.

Yeah, I’m really wishing I’d applied early to a school I actually have a chance of getting into. Does anyone know the admission rate for Yale EA? I’m sure it’s here somewhere, but I don’t really want to hunt it down.

Yale’s admission rate is somewhere around 13.5-14% for the EA round and around 6-8% for the RD round. I’m not sure about exact figures. However, I’ve heard that the EA round stats are misleading because EA is used to snap up legacies and athletic recruits, etc…

^collegestress: i love asian dramas! My brain is practically an asian drama encyclopedia hahaha! so useless >__< (and i’ve watched all those you mentioned)

tuesday tuesday…

I wish we could all get into Yale and live happily ever after… Ah, I’m too optimistic and silly a person.
I’m going to miss stalking this board [ach, I should be optimistic, not pessimistic :D]… Yale’s board is one of the liveliest on CC, and the liveliest out of the top colleges… Or maybe that’s just my biased opinion.

Whatever happens, it was good getting to know you all. I hope only the best for us all.

2012 was 18.1% , then for 2013 it was 13.4 %. But this year it should be a slight increase from last year since there was a 5% decrease in applicants!!

Terrence, when you say that it was good getting to know everyone, it just sounds like you’re saying goodbye
I don’t like goodbyes! More like I don’t believe in them. hehe, well, I don’t really know anyone on this board. Just decided to pop by to kill time after my coffee-induced insomnia and I likies… :D

slakedlime wrote on the “EA Email” thread that

quote "Some posters are thinking you can get a decision early because:
- their counsellors were called for further info and the adcoms gave away a favourable tone
- Questbridge results were out over a week ago or so
- Places like Stanford and Swarthmore announced their EA/ED decisions earlier this year "

Do you guys think this is true? Will we get early notification too? My friends are all getting into Stanford and Caltech and Columbia and Cornell and I am so very, very happy for them but their early notification just exacerbates the pain of waiting for my own fate…

@slakedlime:

I didn’t been to be all gloomy! We’re still in this boat together until the bitter end!

Renovatio, I don’t think it’ll be true for us. I mean, there’s just 2-3 more days to go (depending on where in the world you’re from) and Yale already stated on their website that decisions will be out on the evening of the 15th… I don’t think they’ll pull a Stanford on us, especially since they haven’t even finalized the decisions on all the apps (I got an email from an adcom yesterday saying that she hadn’t received scans of my SAT II scores – I get to do this because my results came out really late – so they can’t finalize their decision on my app. The sad thing is that I sent her the scans, verified by my principal, around 2-3 days ago, and she confirmed getting them! How weird is that? I just hope she still has them. fingers crossed).

Renovatio, that said, I wish we’d get our results earlier too… I’m tired of waiting. hehe
