<p>I live in New Zealand so there can’t be THAT many applicants for there not to be space for me. Do they filter out for interviews like using SATs or something??</p>

Ok, let me reassure u: not all applicants get an interview, and that has nothing to do with the competency of the applicant. You could even say that interview allocations are random. Don’t fret: interview is THE LEAST important part of the admission process.
I submitted my Common App on the 25th, Yale downloaded on 26th, and got mine on Nov 3. So i waited for 9 days.
If you submitted closer to the deadline than me, then it may take a few more days for the office to process apps. Right now, they will be absolutely inundated with apps and angst applicants worrying about Eli accounts. So just hold on tight k?

Yeah, you have to be quite patient for the eli account because they have all the applications to deal with now.

<p>Ahhh I was contacted by email for an interview today! 
Apparently my interviewer is a lawyer and I’m supposed to have it at her office, which is slightly intimidating lol. I think she graduated pretty recently and said it would only take 30 min. Does this sound like I should dress up well? Or should I bring a resume. I’ll go check out the Interview thread sometime later I guess :)</p>

<p>Yeah, I was actually contacted for an interview today as well, but my interviewer didn’t leave much information about herself. I hope we have something in common lol. </p>
<p>From what I’ve heard, most of the interviews are pretty chill; I think most interviewers prefer to assess you as a person without the bias of a resume or transcript, so while bringing those documents wouldn’t necessarily hurt, they’re by no means necessary. If the interview’s to take place in her office, it might be good to dress up at least a bit (polo or collared shirt maybe?); I worry that a tux might be a bit over the top and give the interview a more formal feeling than is necessary. But hey, I’m just another prospective student, so I could be completely wrong. lol </p>
