<p>So I’m wondering about this actually… why do some people have acceptances already? Is it from rolling admissions or something? Or are schools allowed to give you an early response if they want to?</p>
<p>And YES HARRY POTTER PARTY! I only started reading the books recently, I’m up to the Order of the Phoenix but haven’t started it yet. I won’t let myself read it until I’m done with SATs… :-/</p>

<p>Are you talking about acceptances from Yale or from anywhere? At the moment, no one except athletic recruits (and maybe some other heavily hooked groups) should know that they’re accepted to Y. But most other schools currently accepting students(UMich, for example) are rolling.</p>

I haven’t even finished applying to all my colleges so I can’t expect decisions. BUT they should just save me the trouble and accept me anyway. Cos I’m kind of a big deal.</p>
<p>Yeah I’m completely done with Yale…I want my decision now! They are already reviewing it since the dean of admissions sent a letter to my dad and so they obviously have everything…accept me ploxxx</p>

<p>My dad is alumni and I guess everyone gets a letter from him. its not written personally though, the guy just signs it. it probably isnt too big of a deal, it just says my app will be considered very carefully and thoroughly but also to say that many legacy apps are rejected.</p>
<p>^That is interesting! Does it say, like, “Thank you for encouraging your child to apply to Yale?” or what?</p>
<p>It goes along the lines of “we are really pleased david has applied to yale and it shows your trust and loyalty to us…” then continues with other stuff</p>
