I think they have the potential to be tacky but some of them can be just beauutiful!

<p>in hawaii over summer (jan) i got a small henna tattoo
dad saw when i was back home
not only did i get grounded for a month, i had $600 pocket money taken away over 6 months.
this is for henna!!! it faded after two weeks!!!
i do not like tattoos anymore.</p>

When I first tried henna I
I tried henna last summer too! I was so excited I drew huge Art Nouveau-esque flowers all over my ankles and feet, my parents (asian math-oriented people, but they try to be open minded) were just like “Ooookay…” but that’s it.</p>

<p>^yes, go to the application status part of the page. But you can’t see the status of your teacher recs/transcript yet (whether they’re received) until November 15, so it’s currently pretty boring. :stuck_out_tongue: I check every day.</p>

<p>When I turned in my app I thought I had a decent shot at possibly getting in…but now, 2 weeks later, I’m starting to second-guess my essays and everything I put on my app, lol. I think I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I’ll be deferred or something, great… haha</p>

<p>^yeah. I made the mistake of asking a few parents on here to read it over AFTER I submitted my Yale app (the advice was extremely helpful, but the mistake was having them edit it AFTER I submitted it), and now I’m second-guessing myself completely!</p>

<p>Not everyone gets interviews, don’t freak yourself out about it! The Yale website plainly says that if you don’t have an interview it doesn’t mean anything and it won’t be held against you.</p>

<p>Yes! that’s exactly what I feel (the post-sending feeling of doom- deferral, or worse rejection)
So much trouble for henna? Haha, I’m brown (South Asian to be politically correct), and I put henna on at least 3 times a year! It’s a natural product, and it comes off so quickly!!! It’s almost like a kiddie fake tattoo.
^portugueseninja - but getting an interview would be so sweet! and it would make you feel like Yale’s actually considering you</p>
