I am trying to figure out the answers for PE 130A and 135. Last year it included all costs, this year it seems to be limited to only tuition. Our kids go to public school, but the costs each year are about 3000 for tuition, classes, etc. How do you reflect that in the CSS profile so that it is accurately available for financial aid departments?
Is there a charge for them to attend public school? If not, then the answer to both questions is zero. What you pay for special classes and activities would not be included.
I think if you click on the help link next to the question, it specifically states that if the child attends public school the answer should be zero.
The answer is $0. We completed the Profile years ago, and if your student attended public school…the answer was $0.
Why is public school $3000?
I think some publics charge some various fees (I don’t know what they do for low income), but I don’t think you can count those fees on CSS for a public school.
I know that some charge a graduation fee and some charge art fees and music fees, etc.
