2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

@LuNayyy you should be able to log in either way I believed

@triviummom for both stars and portal right?

@CollegestudentTX what is passcode, is it mmddyy? btw thx for answering me questions

Is anyone’s youSC not working either? I can log on but whenever I click on something nothing loads

@LuNayyy @CollegestudentTX Access to Oasis means absolutely nothing! Not everyone has access to it. I did not have access to Oasis before being admitted so don’t worry if you are unable to log in!

@LuNayyy Yes, I believe so. It should tell you the order I believe.

@COCtoUSC thx for telling me this information! I was worried I can not login Oasis.hahahha

Has anyone else filled out the housing application? Do you know when we should get a room assignment if we end up getting university housing?

@CollegestudentTX Less than 24hrs for the STAR report to be uploaded, about 3 days for the portal.

@MoralObligation Yeah, sorta sucks that being bumped up will only happen if a lot of students decide not to attend and suddenly they’re short :stuck_out_tongue: I think in the spring admit brochure last year, it even says not to ask about moving up to fall as all spring applicants are considered for this and will be notified if there’s room.

I’m a bit shy, so I didn’t really take advantage, but usc does have all of the frats and clubs/etc. on display during the first few weeks of the spring semester  I was interested in being a part of USiL (undergraduate students in linguistics) since they seem pretty cool (tea time, Stars Wars night, bowling night), but being a commuter somewhat ruined that :stuck_out_tongue: The only time I felt a little out of place was at their Hispanic center. It seemed like all of the people going there were already good friends. One of the students even told me “ah, a double whammy. A transfer and a spring admit, so it’s twice as awkward for you” However, this is probably more my fault for not being as sociable. USC certainly presents you the opportunity to get involved; you just have to take advantage of it :stuck_out_tongue:

@COCtoUSC hi, congrats on the merit scholarship!!
I was wondering what year transfer student you will be , what your original and final GPAs were, and what department you are going into!!

Some extra information you might want to know is that I am a low-income, Hispanic and a first generation college student. I graduated high school with a 2.7 GPA, so I really think USC liked my academic transformation.

@COCtoUSC ok gotcha! Little different for me but I’m hoping for the best
Congrats again!!

@miswimmy1 Congrats! I’m a legacy as well! What was the date on the acceptance letter

Do you guys think USC will rescind my admission if I receive a C in one of my spring classes? I’m so worried right now!!!

@brian15 I don’t think so

Yo, i’m a student at a CCC and I haven’t heard back yet and am really worried.
I have a 3.2 GPA, solid EC’s (internship and been co-authored in medical journals, as well as community service etc.)
I know my GPA is too low, but I’ve had improvement since last year, and explained that why my grades were bad.

  1. Is there a chance that i may be not rejected?
  2. Is it unusual to hear back this late?
    Thanks

^Forgot to mention. applying to Dornsife; Bio major.

@paydre it depends on your major and are you a sophomore or junior transfer? The gpa is a bit on the low side, and from what I heard they mainly focus on your college work and less on ec. If you did improve since last year that might help you a bit.
