I’ve completed around 80 credits, but I still have some lower division coursework to finish…my GPA last year was lower, but I never failed a class and only got 1 C. Fall quarter i got A’s and 1 B and last quarter i got a 4.0, probably 4.0 this quarter as well…
@zettasyntax @pomeranian4rich thank you for you guys’ input! I emailed the Annenberg’s counselors to ask about internal switching so hopefully thats going to work out!
Also since I came from ucsb, i still have a lot of GEs to fulfil at usc (like 7 with 2 of that being foreign language?) I know thats a lot, so how possible do you think for me to graduate on time? I still have to do 4 lower divs and 8 UD classes and for both cases (IR or comm) which for me sounds like a lot do other people have this problem too?
Also; do they still give out SGR’s this late?
Also for some reason even after getting accepted i still cant login into OASIS
I don’t think that is unusual. Did anyone that got accepted contact USC to get access to Oasis or did it just happen with the usc id and mmddyy birthday passcode?
Also, for those accepted that do have access to Oasis, did it plug in your classes/credits from your current school so you know which credits have been accepted?
Are there really only 2 people in the admitted transfer group on Facebook?
@ucsborusc @scotlandcalling after getting accepted I remember trying to log into oasis once and it didn’t work. I have been accessing oasis through MyUSC. My Transfer Credit Report came in about three weeks after I submitted my deposit.
@dhailey I’m surprised by that too. I requested to join the group almost a month ago and still haven’t been accepted. I hope that the group opens up soon.
@zettasyntax I guess I’m going to be a double whammy, too! haha B-) It seems that being shy isn’t an issue as long as you find what interest you and become part of it. That’s definitely assuring knowing that they have clubs, frats, and organizations at the beginning of the Spring semester for students join.
@ucsborusc I also still can’t login yet.
@dhailey yeah it just seems to be me and just tommy trojan LOL
Does anyone have any recommendations when it comes to housing?
Just accepted into Marshall and looking for on campus housing.
@paydre Hello! Having a 3.2 isn’t the end of the world. Average GPA of transfer students accepted is 3.7 meaning some have lower and some have higher. I’m in the same boat, hopefully other parts of our application will stand out! Stay positive, good luck
@paydre I got my SGR a few days ago
I have a 4.0 and got a SGR… are my chances going to be pretty good of getting accepted?
@FightOn952 do you mind posting your stats? And where you’re transferring from, as well as sophomore or junior?
@ucsborusc I think a fair number of people have a few missing GE’s. I was missing a semester of a foreign language and a science course (it didn’t transfer to USC, but did to UCLA for some reason) And of course, there’s the upper division writing and the USC GE’s that can only be completed at USC (one of my major requirements satisfies the Science and Its Significance GE, so yay). The only thing I would be able to recommend is maybe some summer school =\ I’m currently talking WRIT 340 and it’s no so bad. It does suck not really getting a summer break, but seeing as how I was a spring admit, I guess I already had my break
How much is summer session at USC?
@yagayeet Thanks! When you received the SGR, did your portal update? And was the letter in a regular envelope?
They posted on their twitter that transfer merit scholarships review process has been completed and recipients were notified. Anyone heard anything?
@chunkymonkeydude I was selected.
Does anyone know how we check which credits will transfer over to USC?
