@zettasyntax Can you describe what your stats were leading up to your SGR and why you think your results that spring prevented your acceptance?
I just got a SGR yesterday (Annenberg) and I’m taking a Stats course, (Eng) Contemporary lit, Spanish4, Econ1, and Cultural Communication this semester.
It was weird because the admission official called me and asked if I was taking a math class this semester, and after I answered, she just said thanks that’s all I needed to know.
Then she called back with a request to send my spring grades.
I feel like all they’re really concerned about at this point is Stats because it’s a recommended course for Annenberg.
I don’t think getting a SGR at this point sucks more than a rejection because I’m still breathing, so to speak.
@thepinksun no I am still waiting. I haven’t even get a SGR. OASIS says the restrictions were updated yesterday at 8.30am, so may be I will hear something this week. But I am almost positive that applicants can access oasis too. I hope you will get an access there as I did. Please let me know what their response to you will be.
They say to reset your pin you email them your ID number, a scan of your drivers license and basically a sentence saying you want to change your pin. If you click log in help on the log in page they give you the instructions and the email to send your info to @LACCryan
@thepinksun Damn, lucky you because I did that and received a reply this morning which said
“Dear Ryan,
I am having difficulty locating your record. Please confirm that your USC ID number is correct. Also, are you an applicant or admitted student?”
The USCid is correct but I’m still waiting a decision. SGR.
I received a similar message as well @LACCryan and about 30 min ago I received a second email saying it had been reset to my birthday with a link to change the Pin. I never responded to the first email
@CaliforniaUSC I got the acceptance package in the mail.
@Kyles52 I think if you got accepted into NYU, you have a high chance of making it to USC (: & Yes, I live in SoCal. You’ll hear back soon! Try to be patient even though that’s nearly impossible >.<
@chiamoLOL I hope that is the case, since I got into NYU film & television major, but I applied as a cinema & media major at USC. They’re so different (production vs essentially film studies) though.
So far no one has gotten accepted into SCA as a cinema & media major on this forum, so I’m really nervous. ): Hopefully something good comes soon, because I’m an out of state applicant so it might take 3-4 days to be sent from California to my state, ahaha. >___<
@TheWorrisomeGirl If i remember correctly, USC accepts more students for Cinema & Media than Production. I got rejected by UCLA and Chapman but accepted to USC so anything can happen but I personally think you have a high chance of getting in (:
