@usctrojansucla USC kinda screwed us over because they said all the housing is filled. We will likely have to find off campus housing . I call them all the time asking if anything has changed and they said no. Are you a fall or spring admit?
YOU GUYS ARE IN. CONGRATULATIONS @frh777 @taylorLA16
@bigstom I know where are we suppose to live? I’m scared to live in a dangerous neighborhood. I checked online and surrounding USC 20 crimes happen per week. I lived in a safe area and I’m really nervous to where I am suppose to live. I also don’t want to commute 1 hour every day to better neighborhoods in west la
looks like we’re starting to hear back this week and next week. I was told by my counselor that we’ll hear back late june and early july.
@mr.transfer that’s what I thought but I haven’t gotten anything on the portal. I’m gonna call tomorrow to ask about what this means.
shout out to all the people that have tagged Mr. transfer and wondered “how the hell was he able to create a screen name with (.) in it?!?”
@frh777 Here’s my unsolicited advice for the day; @frh777 I think you should just wait for your acceptance to arrive in the mail and not call admission again. It takes those resources away from those who are still anxiously waiting their decision. haha jk. But seriously, if history serves as any indication then you’ve been admitted, specifically because the stars report was filled out with information to your applied major. What area do you live in? The acceptance package can arrive as soon as one day, if you’re in the LA area.
@frh777 Congratulations!!! You have been accepted. In my son’s case, he received his acceptance package 1 day after the STAR report was uploaded. His portal was updated 2 days after his acceptance letter arrived.
@LACCryan I live in Palm Beach, Florida man haha so extremely far from California. The only thing is that my transfer credits from Chapman aren’t there, but I read on some part of the Oasis website that college courses and AP grades are only transferred into the STARS report mid-July. @triviummom congrats to your son and thank you I truly hope that this will be the same for me.
@frh777 @taylorLA16 congrats!!! what’s your guys’ major?
@johnnyUSC I emailed him after I sent in my spring grades as well but I haven’t heard back. (I’ve heard he can be unresponsive to emails at times)
@journalism89 thank you, its English with an Emphasis in Creative Writing
@LACCryan I think I might be the only one with a . in their screen name, didn’t really think of it when I made my account. LOL
We should all live in one big house off campus after we’ve been admitted.
To those who have already been admitted: did you receive an email from USC Housing? It’s been a few days and I haven’t received any emails yet. I also cannot access Oasis
“Please Note: Undergraduate, Family and Graduate Housing for 2016/2017 is Full.”
This was on the USC Housing site…If this is true, I’d have to contact financial aid to change from on-campus to off-campus residency, and then try to find an off-campus apartment and housemates (wondering if anyone’s interested?). I know I’m fortunate enough to have been admitted, but this is still a bit frustrating haha.
Guys there’s probably still housing available at the Lorenzo. It’s fucking dope.
@truehappiness it will not change your financial aid, I called last week to change my on campus to off campus and the lady I spoke on the phone said its fine if we can’t find on campus housing and start looking for off campus. I am also interested in living off campus since there is almost no guarantee that will get on campus housing. I want to get a house with other transfers possibly. Just waiting to see if I am admitted for fall or spring.
@frh777 there are a lot of bad reviews about Lorenzo. I called last week to speak with one of the agents and I have gotten over 10 emails asking me to sign the lease.
@mr.transfer
Oh okay, thank you! I’m going to submit my housing application and hope for the best, but I think it’s probably better that I start looking for off-campus options and roommates. Hope you get in too!
My friends lived in West 27th and said it’s dope af. It’s not far from campus and it’s a street down from Greek Row. They advised me to live in either West 27th or University Gateway. If I get accepted I am wanting to live in West 27th since there’s no On Campus housing available
Oh and Tuscany is good, too. It’s the apartment complex across from the football stadium. There’s also a ton of food restaurants there as well. I’ve looked up the complexes and they seem very nice and are in good areas with security
