2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

@John6311 Still the same old “Thank you for applying to USC” sending them in tomorrow. WIsh me Luck!!!

@xerxes96 well I got my admissions packet a couple days after the same financial aid email, and so did one or two other people on this forum if I recall correctly. It’s a good sign I’d say, but idk these admissions rarely follow a pattern. Good luck!!

@eoverland Viterbi.
@johnnyUSC all of them. Was only missing math/science.

Got reassigned from century to cardinals

Hey guys!
Just a heads up, I only received my “ability to benefit” message the day before I got accepted. So don’t feel too worried if you don’t get the financial aid email, because I didn’t get that - nor did I ever have access to Oasis (still don’t).

Also, I finished all available GE’s & foreign language, plus the recommended statistics course (as a Communication major).

I hope everyone starts to get their admission decisions soon so you all can celebrate this holiday weekend without anything looming over your heads.

@LadyVee I’m still working on the parking info :wink:

Thanks @zettasyntax you’ve been one of the most powerful members on this board, and I know I speak for the rest of us when I say that we sincerely appreciate your time and effort.

@LACCryan That Ability to benefit was emailed or in the fafsa sections??

@daRamz There was no email, I only saw it in the “Eligibility checks” portion with a red exclamation highlight and subsequent “ability to benefit” message and summary. Note: this is after I clicked on the link to “Check status of Financial Aid” within the portal.

Does anyone have Ryan Bouziane as their counselor?

Does anyone have Michael Golutta as their counselor? stressing over here…

For those that are left waiting what majors are you guys applying to

@daRamz Still waiting here as a Viterbi mechanical engineering applicant.

@Panzer403 are u confident youll get in?

Economics

@daRamz Marshall

Are yall going to apply again if you dont get in?

No I’m a junior from AU. Hbu?

@daRamz No not confident. I feel like a strong applicant but I know it’s highly competitive to get in. Just gotta wait and see. Hopefully sooner than later. We are so close to the start of the fall semester that I feel like we are at a disadvantage in terms of registration and getting prepared.

Nah I doubt … I got into a few different places and took this gamble to see if could get in because i thought my stats were sort of decent and well this whole SGR thing just got my hopes up for nothing hahah so im sort of in that sophomore area so id rather just try somewhere else and not put up with this wait

@megan343 im in that sophomore area at a community college near Los Angeles kinda had a decent gpa and if I calculated it right pretty good transfer gpa

junior at AU ?? where at

@Panzer403 yeah i feel ya its just seems too late in the game to hold out if you know what I mean… They go through all the applications as they come in and well the whole SGR thing felt killed my chances i think since were in the back of the pack and pretty sure you have to have something kickass about your thing to stand out
