@topchoiceschool every single person who has received that notice so far has been accepted, all 5 including myself that received it on Friday have been accepted this week
Edit: @waitgame pretty freakin fast, Like maybe 3-4 hours. It changed on the same day for me. Submitted my deposit today too and applied for the fee waiver… thought it was going to be a few days but it’s already updated/processed for me and prompting me for orientation

How long did it take everyone to receive their financial aid package?

I bet you a dollar that your portal will update approximately 24 hours after you got the “ability to benefit” notification (that’s what happened to me). Also, @topchoiceschool - It sounds like you should start making arrangements for USC as well. Congrats to the both of you! Well deserved.
@Irishrider I got my Financial Aid package two business days after my portal updated.

@mrajan97 No, no additional documents are necessary. That’s just the systems way of telling us that they’re preparing our Financial Aid package. Be prepared to go absolutely nuts tomorrow, because you will more than likely have a portal update with an admission letter inside (assuming you’re in CA. - that’s the only trend I’ve noticed with students receiving their portal updates that quickly after the “ability etc” message.
@LACCryan Awesome, I was worried I might need to send something in but I already sent hs transcripts in at the very beginning so I was like what the heck lol. But thank you so much ahhh and yeah I’m from a ccc! I’ve been refreshing my portal like every 5 minutes lololol.
@mrajan97 Yea I was a little confused by the HS transcript message too, haha. And tell me about it, I’ve never refreshed a webpage more in my life than I have with the SC portal in recent month’s! What CCC are you from?
@LACCryan I’m from De Anza! Right I’m super nervous hahaha. Did your financial aid package come with your acceptance thingy? I really hope the whole thing won’t take any longer, this wait has been killing me :-<
@mrajan97 and by “acceptance thingy” you mean mailed admission package? hahah Because mine did not. I received the acceptance via the portal almost exactly 24 hours after I noticed the “ability” message. Then the following day was when my actual package arrived at my doorstep via USPS. I should note that I live 5 minutes away from USC so I’m sure that had everything to do with how soon I received the acceptance in the mail. Oh and also, two days after I received the initial acceptance online was when my financial aid award appeared in the portal. Hope that helps. Fight On!
Hey ! I looked at my financial aid status and all it says is that my “application is in review.” Also, under my “eligibility check” it talks about my citizenship and satisfactory academic progress! I am a Marshall applicant and the suspense is killing me !!

@John6311 I lived off campus at Gateway the past semester. I’m currently trying to find another place to live for next year.
@mochibbycake did you like it. I’m looking to live in Gateway or Tuscany with @OneDay1997 + others and hopefully @CaliforniaUSC if he gets in
