For the people who have been accepted, is your acceptance updated on you.sc?
@topchoiceschool hey do you go to a UC? I’m at a UC right now and i just sent in my winter grades, I’m on the TTP, but no acceptance letter yet? Im worried!
yes mine was updated like the day after i received my acceptance in the mail @chjd22
@chjd22 mine also updated the day after i received my acceptance
@KELLYYYY if you would like to, post your decision on the 2016 usc transfer decision thread trying to get it started http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/1877907-usc-fall-2016-transfer-students-stats-decisions-only.html#latest
Hey guys I’m a prospective transfer student applying to Marshall. Has anyone gotten an acceptance letter to USC Marshall?
Hello!
I’m also a applicant who is on the TTP and have not received a decision yet. It makes me nervous to see that some applicants have already received a decision who are on the TTP. I currently attend a four year university and have earned and maintained a 4.0 GPA, worked off campus, and have been an active member of numerous academic based (honors college) and interested based (Black Student Union and Circle K International) clubs on campus.
@mateenjan1 So far, the only people to have been accepted (to the knowledge of this forum) are TPP dornsife applicants.
And I’m also a Dornslife applicant that chose to Major in African-American Studies and second option being undeclared.
I have a friend (who is in TTP) that got accepted today.
@wafflepiezz maybe it’s a rolling thing I suppose
@John6311 probably haha, I’m aiming to apply for transfer next year so I’m going to stick around and see what happens here
@wafflepiezz your friend received his/hers decision through mail correct?
@John6311 correct, he received his acceptance letter through mail
To those worrying right now, especially if you’re on ttp and you haven’t received your decision yet, don’t stress! So far, the people that have heard back are dornslife applicants and they usually hear back early than the other schools (viterbi,Marshall, annenberg).It’s literally just the beginning of April. The past few years people haven’t found out until much later
I have maintained a 4.0 GPA at my community college. I work part-time and I have 43 units completed. I created a neighborhood junior empowerment program to help underprivileged youth get ready for college. I am also part of clubs on campus. I am a prospective USC Marshall student. I am hoping that the decisions come out soon. Already been accepted to other schools and their deadlines are coming up.
Can anyone help me with this situation? I applied for Marshall (first choice) and then an unrelated major in a different college for my 2nd choice. I’m on the quarter system and we just finished Winter classes. All of my grades went up by half a letter grade (all B+ or A’s) this quarter, except for math. My math grade went from B+ last quarter to C+ this quarter, but I truly believe it is because it was a 10 week class, and the instructor only came to about 4 out of all 10 classes.
I want to explain this situation on my application, but I don’t want to look like I’m not taking accountability for the C+. I’ve talked to 1 person about it and they advised me not to say anything about the C+ because the school is unwilling to submit an explanation on my behalf… any idea what I should do? I was thinking the C+ will devastate my chances, so when I get denied (unfortunately) I could appeal and then explain the grade? And include my Spring grades which will be much better?
So, for the record, having access to Oasis doesn’t mean diddly-squat, correct?
@TheTank00 yes that is correct
@TheTank00 Just having access, no. I had access when I first applied in 2014 and I was rejected that year. There are little tricks that come with being able to access OASIS that USC hasn’t seemed to eliminate yet, but having access to it in itself doesn’t indicate anything.
