2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

I’m not the only one checking youSC every single day haha, right?

I’ve been so nervous about this even before graduating from high school, and now that it’s so close (yet so far), I don’t know how to handle the wait. All the talk about Oasis is scaring me (invalid ID message when I try).

I’m a sophomore transfer at a quarter system school (ending in mid-June), so should they decide to send me an SGR, I probably will have to wait until July (!!!) …

Good luck to everyone!

@truehappiness what is your GPA? and what state are you applying from?

has anyone who hasn’t heard back yet called about when they should expect to hear something?
if so, what did they say?

Sophomore, Marshall Applicant

And I’m from California haha (UC Riverside).

@John6311 My husband set up his myUSC account after he was admitted using his student ID number. He is able to access OASIS on the main page under ‘Student Links,’ but this is obviously not relevant to our situation.

Did you guys see what USC posted on their Instagram page about checking your application status

Hey, did everyone get the Topping Scholarship email? If so, are you applying? I’m trying to find out more because it looks like a really cool opportunity.

@John6311 I saw it too, very interesting.

Did anyone else receive an email from USC regarding the NTSAF scholarship?

@IBProspect123 @manuealesc are these like… major specific scholarships? Scholarships that are offered by your particular major?

No, not major specific.

I’m a Marshall applicant, so it doesn’t seem to have any relation to the scholarship. It could be that I applied for financial aid that they decided to forward me the scholarship (it’s a scholarship for students w/ large need).

Did anybody see any changes to their portal? I didn’t and I’m applying for the NTSAF cause it seems really helpful!

I didn’t see any changes to my portal

@vvsharoom2016transfer hehe thank you! I am a sophomore transfer! and I got my package before my portal changed

@mr.transfer My restrictions changed 4/11. What does that mean? and for some reason, I can’t tag you.

Didn’t get any emails about scholarships. Oops. Anyone else?

I didn’t get an email about any scholarships either @ElevatedThinking

didn’t get any scholarship emails either. I wonder if these are being sent to people as a result of doing their CSS profile that matches you to scholarships…

@thepinksun well idk, it says that priority goes to first gen, and people who live near I guess the university (for this particular scholarship)

I also got the NTSAF scholarship e-mail. I’m a first generation college student and I live 20 miles away from the school.

Just wondering, how do USC admission know that you’re a first generation student? are you suppose to tell them that on the common app?
