2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

Dornsife applicant and no SGR :frowning:

@Sumner no email, it only showed through the portal.

Do most accepted people receive SGR?

I know a friend who was admitted to USC last year as a sophomore transfer from UCR who was accepted after submitting spring grades. However, that friend had a couple of friends who were denied with SGR too, so its really 50/50 in my opinion. Just keep up the good grades.

does anyone know how soon people can get accepted with SGR requests? I’m guessing after you send in your spring grades? but school is ending for many ppl right now so it wouldn’t be too big of a time difference right? if anyone knows, pls LMK!!

@js119999 My friend who went to UCR and transferred said he/she sent in grades as soon as the semester was over, which was around the first week of june. He/she got accepted near the end of June. So about 2-3 weeks I suppose? Not sure, it could have been subjective.

@Sctl97 oh it would probably be earlier for schools that end in early may right? and wow! that’s great for him/her!

@Probtransfer So I shouldn’t expect to hear anything back from USC until I’m officially done with spring semester?

@USCsssss I have no idea when they’ll send decisions. I just think you might get a later response if you get a SGR later/receive your spring grades later based on past threads.

Hey guys, just a heads up for anyone with a winter/spring grade request. I got a winter grade request two weeks ago and sent in my winter grades myself via the you.usc.edu website. Apparently, they don’t want you to do that. So make sure the school you go to sends the transcripts for you else USC won’t accept it (though they’ll have it on file). Now I gotta wait another 2-3 weeks >_<

@Sumner Annenberg applicant, no SGR 8-|

I’m an International Relations major. Got an SGR

Marshall aplicant here, no sgr

What time of month did SGR’s come out for last year’s applicants? Are we on track for earlier decisions?

The wait is killing me because USC is my first choice school… :frowning:

@IBProspect123 from the looks of it, it does seem like we’re a bit earlier than last year’s

@IBProspect123 yes they began coming out at the end of April previous years too. So we all just have to wait now!

If you have more than the amount of semester units they suggest you apply with, does it make sense not to receive a SGR?

what time last year did anenbergs get an sgr? anyone know?
