2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

@truehappiness yeah as long as you do well in Calc and Econ then I think you should be fine.

@mr.transfer

Hmm…that is weird then. Is your ‘Required Documents’ section empty? They have two bullets for me, both of which are ‘Transcript: UC - Riverside’ … not sure why there’s two of the same thing though.

@truehappiness Thanks ahha, sure no problem

Currently a Freshman, applied as a sophomore transfer
GPA: 4.0
Major: Business Administration
Units completed: 46 by the end of the spring semester (A lot of it was through AP scores of 4 and above)
All GE categories completed except Physical Sciences course (such as Chem w/ Lab)

@Sctl97 I’d be surprised if they don’t accept you if you keep the grades consistent haha, impressive!

Marshall applicant no SRG X_X

@truehappiness Hopefully. I’m studying abroad this summer so it’s kind of frustrating to not know whether I’ll be attending USC in the fall because I can’t finalize my course schedule because if I end up not attending USC, I’m thinking about applying to UCLA, which requires me to take microecon and managerial accounting (for biz econ majors) which is offered at the school I’m studying at over the summer. But, while these courses are business-oriented they aren’t accepted at USC. I’ll have to retake both financial and managerial accounting lol. So that being said, I’m left having to wait until finding out my final decision in possibly mid-july, which is past when my summer term begins…
Since my spring semester ends on May 27th, I’m hoping to have my professors finalize my grades by the first week of June so I can have my spring grades sent to USC and find out my decision before going abroad.

@truehappiness mine is just blank

@mr.transfer are you a junior or a sophomore transfer? If you don’t mind me asking :slight_smile:

@Sctl97

I know! I wanted to take summer courses too, but not being able to know if I’m in or not complicates everything … I’m also still ??? about housing, especially since I possibly won’t even know if I’m in until July.

@mr.transfer

That’s weird … but I don’t think it’s necessary, since we/our schools should be mailing in the official spring transcripts anyway.

@imthetopgun I guess I am considered a sophomore since I will have 55 credits by the end of summer.

So no Dornsife SGRs so far. If you’re a Dornsife applicant and received an SGR let us know!

Applied to Dornslife with a 3.5/6ish and under 30 transferable units, no SGR.

Dornsife applicant and they still havent even updated my portal to say they processed my winter grades yet haha. Its probably gonna be a week or two before we hear anything

Dornsife applicant, no SGR!

I don’t even want an SGR because of the late admissions decision :frowning: I’m accompanying my husband to his overseas summer internship with Marshall so all of our housing plans need to be finalized pretty soon. It would be so amazing to hear back from USC before then, otherwise I’ll have to SIR to a UC.

Dornsife applicant, spring grade request received today!

Hello, I am a Dornsife applicant here. My status changed today on the portal (no email yet) with SGR.

Does any Annenberg people get any SGR yet?
For those who received SGR, did they send you an email did you just check it on the portal?

BTW, my school is on quarter system. Is that very unlikely for applicants from a quarter school to receive SGR? Because our spring quarter ends 24/6 lol

I don’t think going to a school that’s on the quarter system changes your chances of receiving a SGR, it just means that you’ll receive a decision late way later (like July probably) because you end later.
