2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

So does USC never reject until they get a SGR?

did anyone get rejection yet? either through the mail or on the portal.

@enmngm USC doesn’t send out early rejections… er… at least I hope not :-S Based on last year’s thread, rejections start to go out at the end of May.

Does someone mind telling me more about Oasis? For some reason, I do not have access and can only log into you.usc portal.

@tinarose congrats. I am also a marshall applicant, if you don’t mind sharing what grades did you get in Business Calc and Writing? thanks

@john6311 nope I haven’t received the mail letter yet?

Hey guys! I’ve been following up on this thread for a while and finally decided to join in.

I’m applying as a Sophomore Transfer for USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. My second choice major is Dornsrife Political Science. I’m part of TTP, currently attending UCR as a first year Political Science student. We’re a quarter system.

I have no access to OASIS and I don’t have an appeal button in my YouSC library, if that even matters. I got a SGR through my YouSC account online, dated April 22nd. No physical letter yet!

@hitherto oh no :frowning: im praying for the best

Hey guys! I just found out about this thread and i’ve been on it for the past 2 hours reading about all the people that got accepted, etc (congrats btw). On the other hand, i’m applying for Marshall School of Business for the Accounting Program, finished all the GE’s except for Physical Science, also i’m going to be finished with 63 credits at the end of spring. What are my chances? [-O<

@tinarose Congratulations. I’m also a Marshall Applicant. I hope to hear back soon.

Hi everyone,

I am a USC transfer applicant for Junior transfer from an out of state university. Anyone know my chances???

GPA: 3.86, Neuroscience major
EC: pretty good
Essay: 9/10
Pre-reqs: GE done except art, major requirements done.
71 credits.

I wonder how and around when will I receive the offer? I have not heard anything from USC yet…not even an email…what is the % for out of state university transfer?

@uclaucbplz I think its usually between 25-30% for out of state 4 year universities

I opened up my YouSC today and found my admission decision. It was dated Thursday, April 21, but I didn’t see it until today. I am out-of-state, so I will probably get it in the mail sometime this week. I was accepted into Marshall as a junior with a 3.95 gpa from an out-of-state community college.

Hey everyone, my portal isn’t changing at all. They requested a transcript that was missing back in March, but that’s the only thing I see when I check application status. (I’ve since sent it.)

There’s no option for appeal when I click “Submit application documents” and look through my library. Am I seeing what you are all seeing?

Good luck to everyone!

@qwality2953 Congrats!! Does it show #IGotIn or whatever it is on your YouSC home page?

@ElevatedThinking Nope :frowning: I want my portal to update so I can submit the enrollment deposit and sign up for orientation :stuck_out_tongue:

@mr.transfer A in both! Business Calc was a nightmare for me

@wtb2525 Good Luck! The wait is almost over

@NosyParent16 yeah it pops up in the top right corner of the page

The wait is soooooooo brutal

@aalfulaij It largely depends on your GPA and your major prep. Do you have most/all of the necessary courses done? I’m assuming for Marshall, just about every major needs business calc/calc, so as long as you have that done and hve a decent GPA, your chances would be solid. It seems that just about every Marshall student that had business calc in progress in past years was hit with an SGR, but there were also surprises and acceptances occurred without the need for an SGR

By the way, is anybody on here trying for CSBA? I’m just curious because it seems like every student I talk to in one of my current classes is a CSBA major, so I’m just wondering if that’s popular with transfers too :stuck_out_tongue:
