2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

Okay I just signed up to cheer you guys on.
I kept looking at the trend for almost four months, every day and night. Had exactly same feelings as you guys had.

Just accepted to Marshall- Business Administration, decision dated 4/28

Never access to oasis, even until now, yes it had made me sad for a while, so do not care of it at all
I guess the offer package has been in my mailbox for a couple days but I did not go to check the leasing office these days. I live pretty close to USC, 10 miles away I guess
I did not receive any notification emails, just login yousc yesterday at late late night, uh it should be today at 2 am though lol, and there’s a PDF admission letter there

My stats
transferring from a cc as a junior
GPA 3.87 USC transferable no W no F, most As and 2 Bs.
68 units completed, 12 in process
All completed except one of writing requirement is still in process
A lot of Ecs, some leadership

I am so surprised I did not get an SGR, I thought I should before
Ok I am still being surprised now. I cannot believe that until now.

Good luck to all of you and congratulations to those who are accepted
Wish we can know each other in the campus.
Go Trojans!

Congrats to all accepted thus far!

Has anyone been accepted into the Facebook group for transfers? I sent a request on Tuesday but I still haven’t been accepted yet.

@irisww hey congrats on being accepted. What grade did you get in Business Calc or Calculus if you don’t mind me asking?

@John6311 They were nothing special. 3.7 GPA with a ton of AP/IB classes. ACT score 29.

Where are you guys getting the notification that you have been accepted in? Portal or by mail? I have not gotten anything through the portal yet :frowning: Im waiting to hear back from Marshall :frowning:

@weeanonymouse I’m also wondering the same thing! I applied to SCA as first choice, and Narrative Studies in Dornsife as my 2nd option. The wait is really driving me nuts…I check the mailbox everyday to no avail.

@irisww Hey, thanks for commenting. Do you know if you had a “Appeal for decision” or something like that in the other documents page?

@kawaiihawaii
Yeah, I haven’t heard anything at all. I think I’m pretty competitive, so it’s stressful, especially as USC is my first choice and I’m hearing back from other schools.

Can you share your stats @manuealesc? Congrats btw!

@ohwiseone In terms of the financial aid thing? I don’t recall people talking about this much in past threads. One of the only things I do recall about financial aid is that a LOT of people talked about receiving a certain email from financial aid (somebody would have to skim through last year’s thread sadly, because I forgot what it was about) :stuck_out_tongue: And everybody that got this email was basically admitted like the next day, so it’s worth looking into to see if you get that email  I didn’t get such an email myself and I was still accepted, but I wonder if it was because I was a spring admit.

I’m about 90% sure the email had something to do with an “ability to benefit” so if anybody has gotten that email prior your acceptance, keep up posted to see if the pattern continues this year?

waiting for my decision like… 8-X

I’m going to be in adult diapers by the time I get a decision from any of the colleges I applied to.

One more month ~X(

When you click on the DOCUMENT LIBRARY tab, under Document Management System, on YouSC, it is supposed to have the option “Appeal of Admission Decision” or not? I have not heard anything and I do not have that option to click on. Once again, I think I am reading way too much into this, but just curious. Thanks.

@PDrake6 from talking about that before, none of us have the option either

@John6311 I see. Appreciate it. I guess we’re all on the same page then.

@PDrake6 no problem! However, if you see it reappear some have said that it may be an indication of a rejection. Due to those who have not seen it, have been accepted.

@Skc313 You’ll be fine! I also SIRed to UCSB before I got my USC acceptance.

I hope this isn’t too hopeful, but I have faith. I hope I don’t get an SGR.
