2016 Application Questions

Hi! I have two questions regarding the Pitt application…

  1. My freshman year, my high school reported my grades with numbers but then changed the grading system to letter grades for my sophomore-senior years. How should I report this on the SRAR? Should I just log my freshman year number grades as their corresponding letter grades?
2.I know that there are short answer questions but there isn’t a place to record any awards or list extracurriculars…Is it recommended to submit some sort of supplemental resume that includes this information?
  1. When you are filling out the information about your high school (first page of "My Academic Record" section), you have the option to choose a grade scale. Choose "letters and numbers" and then you will have options on the drop down menu to report letters or numbers. When you input your courses by year, you should be able to report your number grades for freshman year just fine.
  2. We prefer that you highlight any extracurricular activities or other opportunities that have been meaningful to you in your Short Answer Responses. It is not necessary to send a supplemental resume.
