My daughter received her certificate today from her guidance counselor here in NJ.
@WImom94 Wow! Only two days to get to you! Even if you are close by in Wisc this is encouraging to all of us that we will soon be seeing letters from the regular mailing. A lot of us have HSs that don’t bother with National Merit recognition.
Finally got word in Middle TN, but I had to email the GC to find out.
Do they notify you if you don’t move on? I should be alright, but I haven’t heard yet and it’s making me a bit nervous.
@Pequenino rejection letters were sent to applicants homes back in January so if you didn’t receive one you should be good.
still waiting in CT. my D got into NEU EA with Dean’s scholarship (I think 13K) and some other aid- if she gets NMF, does anyone know if NEU replaces the Dean’s with the NMF award of 30K?
Still waiting in Arizona too - gonna be a looooooong weekend unless we somehow get the one they mailed to our home by tomorrow

Letter came at home in IL today
Got notification in mail today, no word from school yet. In Illinois.
My daughter received her certificate at school today for NMF. We have not received the letter in the mail.
What exactly is NMSC mailing to home addresses? Is it just a letter or is it a certificate?
@timbercreek16 It is just supposed to be a letter confirming Finalist status. The certificate goes to the school which will probably give it to you when they get around to it. As you can see from this thread, some schools are more responsive than others!

Confirmation letter arrived at home in Indiana today.
Received the letter in SW Ohio today. Certificate sent to school.
In LA… No rejection letter in January. School said they haven’t received a confirmation or certificate, and we haven’t received anything at home. Should I be concerned knowing the school has nothing?
@momBou We haven’t received anything yet either - school or home (in Wisconsin) so you are not alone but I am getting a little concerned, I think we are in the minority not hearing anything yet.
