In Oklahoma–Called the D’s highschool college office yesterday and was told she is a finalist. They are not giving us the certificate until a seniors awards ceremony (which I think is in April) which stinks, but we at least know now.
So it can be done. Daughter had 3 semester C’s. All were AP classes. GPA 3.71 unw and 4.0 w. 218 PSAT, 2080 SAT, and 32 ACT.

No word yet in SoCal, but I’m hoping to hear by tomorrow since I have a week off. I’d be absolutely gutted if I had to spend my break without knowing if I advanced or not
Got word at school today in Texas. Child happened to run into principal, who sort of “by the way” told them.
GC ran into my daughter and congratulated her…in doing well in the regional STEM competition with her team, but said nothing about NM. Gah, and no school tomorrow since it is a teacher in service day.
SoCal, I’m feeling good about it. In September school tweeted out that there were 25 semifinalists, today they tweeted there were 25 finalists!
@sailcatmom My daughter was called down by the principal Thursday. We are in Ormond Beach. Hope yours happens today. I was so tired of waiting!

So, our daughter in MO, who should be okay, has not yet heard from her school. She was off campus all day yesterday with one of her classes, and school is out today for a faculty development day and Monday for President’s Day. Soonest school can now tell her will be Tuesday, and she may receive her own letter by then. Who knows. Until you see the letter itself, you never really know for sure. It will be good for her to get this behind her.
