It’s ok , that is real life! We hope that people do have good memories of any year but also some years just come off as not so positive! :heart:

Other than politics, which I won’t detail here, I really don’t remember much about 2016. I think both S1 and S2 were in grad school. DH and I were both retired. Nothing remarkable; only early steps along the path that has led us to today.

2016…

My daughter was excited about her new middle school.

I received a job offer that would have taken us to London, but I decided the move would be too hard on our family, so I declined. It turned out to be a good decision — just a few years later, that company ran into financial trouble.

I had to go back to my photos to see what I was doing in 2016. We traveled to Amsterdam and France in the spring and I got to see the tulips. That was something on the top of my bucket list.

We also did a camping trip to Glacier National Park that year. I’m glad I got to see them.

We were on a trip with my BIL to the orient. My folks and older brother were pretty healthy & happy (all 3 died since ). My 1st niblings were born and my niece and her H were still together—they separated during covid and never re-connected.
