2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

Congrats @Cane305ILL and @phoenix23! Seems Marshall is coming out rather early this year

When does dornsife start coming out? Does it make a difference if you live in socal or not?

Hi I saw on last years post that your counselor was The same as my son’s.

He’s been reallly responsive but We can’t really read him. My son has been in contact with him since he first signed up for classes.

He just says makes sure you get As and Bs but now I’m getting really nervous because I see everyone’s stats at 4.0.

You would think he would tell him to raise his grades if he felt it wasn’t good enough right?

Sorry I’m new to This. The post above is for @zettasyntax

I’m so scared. I’m looking at the people who have already been accepted with their 3.9+ GPAs and I’m sitting over here with a 3.85 (and 57 units completed by the end of this semester) just hoping that it’s enough to be admitted :expressionless: (preferably Fall though)

meanwhile, the viterbi applicants slowly rot inside.

I’ve been looking at pics/videos of dogs to distract myself from the wait.

Don’t forget about Annenberg… the wait is raising my blood pressure

The draft is what’s keeping me distracted, but after this Saturday I’m probably going to lose my mind

When do Viterbi applicants usually hear back?

Dude if they actually wait until like close to June 1st im going to loose my marbles

One deposit is due June 1st for me, so I need to hear soon from here

I’ve already put down a deposit at another school that I’ll lose if I get into USC. I don’t understand why they can’t announce everything by mid-may like every other school I applied to.

When you guys check financial aid status, does it say action required or pending?

@lwcWombat Mine says “application in review.”

@IwcWombat pending. It said action required for a while though. Are they requesting a document from you? Because that was my issue.

@SCtrojanlove Hi, do you mean Clay Busia? I wouldn’t worry about all the 4.0/3.9/high GPAs. It isn’t all about GPA because if it was, that means people with 4.0s would never be rejected, but it happens all the time. In fact, if it makes you feel better, USC accepted me when my GPA was lower and after I received a W, haha :stuck_out_tongue: If the counselor said to maintain A’s and B’s, then that’s all that your son has to do. As long as he maintains his grades and doesn’t trip up too badly, he should be okay

@IwcWombat yeah it says action required for me but I already completed my fafsa and cis profile before the deadline. Does anyone know if I should contact the financial aid office or is this normal?

Oh yeah, those who are accepted please post your decisions here. This will help future usc applicants who will be applying for next Fall 2018: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/1978775-usc-fall-2017-transfer-students-stats-decisions-only.html#latest
