@swim0220 how was your decision mailed? USPS overnight etc? Or fed ex? Express?
When did you receive versus when the letter was dated?
And when was your portal updated?
How far do you live from USC?
Anyone think it’d be possible to get a sports media job with a business degree but a sports media minor? I’m constantly torn between wanting to stick with business for the money/interest and sports media because of interest/passion
Thanks! Still praying that USC gets me and gives me enough aid so I can go there lmaooo @penntousc
I just got rejected from UCLA with 3.1 GPA.
Actually my essay is boring.
Is it a bad idea if I add additional information to USC?
JUST GOT MY LETTER IN THE MAIL!!! IM ACCEPTED
@lasloth wait to USC or UCLA lol
@lasloth what day was it dated and how was it sent? Via USPS or fed ex?
Also when did your portal update?
Can you share your stats? And if your TTP if so who is your counselor?
More importantly, congrats!
@L’arc~En~Ciel it’s going to be really really difficult to get into USC with a 3.1 GPA, you’d have to have something else that is very, very compelling in your application… not sure that you can add anything unless they request it
In at ucla! Please say yes usc, I’ll wait for you…
Man, do people not have the common courtesy of letting us hopefuls know at least to what school they were accepted? just come on here and type IM ACCEPTED BYE. lol come on…
Got rejected from UCLA for Pre-Sociology.
Can anyone that applied for Dornsife: Sociology help me? I’m dreading the fact that it might have been because I didn’t take quantitative reasoning at my cc.
I have a 3.7 GPA and will have all my pre-reqs done by this semester. I would like to say my essays and ec are great. But I’m just scared now that I will be denied from USC also since it’s my dream school, I don’t want to be devastated without some kind knowledge if I do receive a rejection letter.
@bugajskj last year everyone was pretty good about posting in the stats thread, kind of sucks that literally only one person out of the maybe 15-20 (on here) that have been accepted has posted there stats and info
They’re busy celebrating. Hahhhah
Some of these people been celebrating for a long ass time then… I want some of what they’re on lol
Ugh was rejected to UCLA today with a 3.85 GPA (Econ major). Pretty sure it’s cause I am missing calc 2 and not coming from a cc. Also, I think it makes it twice as hard for most of us Econ majors and other impacted ones due to the fact that the acceptance rates are different for every major and Econ is one of the most selective. Atleast at USC, they don’t admit you by major unless it’s part of a different school (Dornsife vs Marshall vs Viterbi etc). AND USC doesn’t require calc 2. I have all the pre reqs completed for USC. I also feel like I have a better shot here because USC is a private school and doesn’t seem to prioritize cc students over 4 year university students. I am feeling much better about USC than I ever felt about UCLA from the beginning. And if for some reason I don’t get in, I still have good ole UMich as something to fall back on. Good luck everyone
So they have enough time to come on here and type ACCEPTED but can’t type 3 ro 4 more lines? BS. In my joy I would hook you guys up with a school and a GPA, give back to the community. I am sure if they could put it down as an “EC” they would do it instantly lol.
To each their own I guess.
@cassidylynnn don’t you have to do 3 years at Ross in order to get the business degree? Mich is a school I’d consider next year if rejected from USC, but I thought I read somewhere that you can’t only do 2 years in the business school
@cassidylynnn I was part of the scholars program and they told us that they could fill their spots with 4.0 econ majors with all their pre-req’s done…which was followed up with “think about what is more important to you, your major or attending UCLA given that fact.”. Econ is extremely competitive.
@penntousc yeah but I’m not a business major. I am an econ major, which is part of LSA (college of literature, science and arts). Yeah I wouldn’t want to spend 3 years at Ross. That would be too much money for me to fork out lol
@bugajskj yeah it’s too bad that Econ is so competitive but I don’t think I would want to attend UCLA and major in something that I’m not interested just so that I can say that I went to UCLA–especially when there are other schools out there that are just as good as UCLA with less competition within my major
@cassidylynnn oh ok I wasn’t sure if you were business or econ bc of the biz econ major… USC doesn’t require calc 2 for econ? That’d make me feel a ton more confident in getting in with my 2nd choice (econ) if need be
