Has anyone heard anything back from Viterbi? It’s my top choice but I already had to put down a deposit for another school, anxiety is killing me.

My friend just got into USC. He was a marshall applicant. He received a letter, his portal was not updated
STAR trick doesn’t work anymore. I have access to it now since I was accepted

@shuisazn People used to be able to log in to USC Oasis, then if their STARS report contains things, they’re in. If it doesn’t, they’re not.
should i be panicking? Im a Marshall applicant taking calc 2 atm but haven’t received an SGR yet. Seems like most marshall applicants alrdy got accepted/received SGR.
I just received an admission package from USC an hour ago, got admitted to Viterbi CSCE.
Does everyone who received an admission package also have a condition of admission?
It says “please remember that your admission is contingent upon verification of official academic records, satisfactory completion of course work, and avoidance of academic and behavioral misconduct.”
Is it normal or specified to individuals?

@hgw666 I had the same thing. My counselor said I dont need to satisfy a gpa range. She said to do well in your courses so I’m assuming don’t get C’s lol

@hgw666 Congrats!! First Viterbi acceptance we know of! There usually are conditions of acceptance, although the conditions themselves differ for people. Yours seems to be good, as long as you maintain a good GPA, you’re fine. there are some people who have in their conditions a specific GPA they must keep like a 3.7 or something like that. You dont have one, so just make sure you stay around the GPA you applied with, or higher.

Question probably no one knows the answer to. Does the portal just update any time of the day? Or is it always a specific hour? Or are the people who have been accepted not refreshing twenty times every minute, haha.
Just got my acceptance yesterday! Yay! It was dated April 28th, and I live about 40 miles away from USC, so it took longer to get here than expected. The mailman put it on our front porch so I did not see it until last night (guess it wouldn’t fit in the mailbox - it really is a box). I am in Dornslife, Psychology Major.
Now just waiting for financial aid to make a final decision.
Thanks for the video link that someone put on here about the new USC housing – can’t recall who it was. Don’t think there is much chance to get University Housing at this point. Looks like other places are filling up fast, too.
Does anyone have a suggestion for finding housing/roommates? There is not a thread for this, is there? I’m getting discouraged looking at all the negative comments about places on yelp.

Hey guys, so I applied for marshall and will be a junior transfer. I’m also the type of people that panic when I don’t hear anything back. So, I emailed my advisor to see if I could go ahead and send in my spring grades because I finish school this week even though I haven’t received anything and what she basically told me was:
“We’ll wrap up with sending out request for spring grades soon, so I would just hang tight for now.”
Don’t know if that answer means anything for me lol, I just wanted to hear something. #struggleisreal :((
Does anyone know how much they weigh the essays and the writing supplement etc., particularly for Viterbi.
I GOT INTO USC… OMG!!! It just came in the mail! I’m surprised I didn’t freak out when my Mom handed me the package hahaha, I was just staring at it gasping for a good minute. I will post stats later on in the day… I’m was admitted into Marshall. Initially with an SGR but that was an error because I took a leave of absence from my previous university to pursue USC.
