@HarvardJones I was wondering if you could give me some advice. You mentioned that USC isn’t worth paying twice the tuition of UCLA, but what if UCSD was your other option instead? Would you say it’s worth the extra money to attend USC considering their comparative ranking and network associations? Thanks so much!
im really losing all hope of being accepted… USC please stop playing with my emotions
Good luck everyone… The wait is almost over for us!
GOT MY PACKAGE! Admitted to Marshall!
So here’s the info cause I don’t want to be those people that’s like OMMGGGGGG I GOT IN and then just leave lol

Junior transfer from a CCC, Northern California.
Be patient everyone! May the 4th be with you!
just got a SGR as a incoming sophomore transfer with 40 units complete 4.0 for Marshall
@penntousc The football season ticket is $200 if you didn’t find out already. I believe it was slightly cheaper last year, but I guess they had to hike up the price because the UCLA game is finally considered a home game this year.
@SMCSociology I certainly don’t think any major is impacted as is the case with UCLA where everything is overcrowded and you’re basically guaranteed to get outright rejected if you don’t have all the pre-reqs completed with a near perfect GPA. I think sociology at UCLA has a pretty high GPA requirement, from what I recall. Anyway, sociology was my alternate major choice for USC and I was accepted for that on June 6th in the 2015 transfer year. I wound up switching to computational linguistics, but I was accepted for sociology over anthropology. If anything, that implies that sociology is somehow less “impacted” in that it has more space for students or something
Do our regional admissions counselor make the ultimate decision whether to admit or reject? Or do our apps get passed into a larger panel of counselors to evaluate and a decision is based off the majority of “votes?”
Any Econ majors accepted yet? I feel like this wait is taking super long
^just got an SGR
@jonathaanv congratulations!
uggh got an sgr with my worst semester a B- in english, a B+ BISC a D in calc 1 and a C+ in spanish 2
@jonathaanv lol how’s that work? I want to set up the text notifications
@penntousc idk much about it. My sister is the one who has the alerts on her phone. I think it’s called USPS my choice so google is your best friend.
@jonathaanv Congrats! That’s awesome!
@usc2563 @millaportman thanks Trojan fam!
@jonathaanv My Choice is for UPS, but anyway, yeah, google is probably helpful. Congratulations by the way
@jonathaanv Congrats bro!
@penntousc I think its called “my USPS”, once you register you have the option to sign up for package alerts. My address does not qualify for that, BS.
@dangerruss A D in Calc 1? :’(
Thanks future Trojan fam! @bugajskj @zettasyntax
And yeah they seem to know more about it than me @penntousc
Financial aid is going to make or break USC for me, hopefully I get a decent grant amount
If it’s anywhere between 1-3 thousand more than what I have to pay for UCLA (9k out of pocket) then I’m going to USC.
