@usc2563 mine went from action required on Monday to “Your financial aid appliation is currently in review. Please note: We will notify you during the review process if additional documents are required. Financial Aid Summaries for transfer students are usually available three to five business days after all required documents have been received.” After I submitted some additional forms
@usc2563 no, mine said the same thing about early May for the longest time until about 2 weeks ago
@angeleno @osu2usc I called the financial aid office about 2 hours ago asking about the forms I needed to upload as well (I really just wanted to know whether they do this for accepted students or for every student). The lady told me that “generally speaking, financial aid only reviews files of those accepted” but she couldn’t give me a definite answer. I kind of figured this because it would be very time consuming and pointless for financial aid to review every file.
USC please admit me!!! I want to take a class in speaking in riddles like your admission/finaid staff!!!
Clearly I volunteer to be today’s poster driven over the edge.
does every1’s financial aid portal say “Your financial aid appliation is currently in review. Please note: We will notify you during the review process if additional documents are required. Financial Aid Summaries for transfer students are usually available three to five business days after all required documents have been received.” ?
@jae2017 Oh- I’m a psychology major!
@usc4ever Mine does now.
@usc4ever mine does but I didn’t always have that message. Anyways I wouldn’t think too much of it.
@angeleno13 @gatsby22 I guess we will just wait and see! At this point I’m not raising my hopes for anything hahaha
posting again – any SCA applicants!?
also, how does an SGR appear under required documents? is it explicitly called “Spring Grade Report” or is it called something else, like “Transcript”…?
@tc20498 I applied to SCA!
I think the SGR shows as a transcript requirement, but I haven’t seen it on my portal so I am not sure
@gatsby22 right ! I feel like possibly our required documents have a good context at this point to our admissions status as it only helps.
@angeleno all we can do is submit the documents and wait
@usc4ever Mine has said that since November.
@TheWorrisomeGirl CONGRATULATIONS!!
@osu2usc nice!! what major? last year, SCA applicants didn’t really start hearing back until the end of may which is sooo scary because that’s also when rejections come out!! the wait is so long
@gatsby22 haven’t a few people early in the thread talked about getting financial aid additional info and getting their decision like a few days or whatever later. I think I saw few people in the thread, but it buried in this thread.
@angeleno I do remember that, i wanted to go back and find it but it would take too much time. I just don’t foresee a college wasting time on reviewing financial aid unless someone was admitted. Also, the lady on the phone told me to look out for the mail which wouldn’t be too nice to say to someone if she thinks they were denied lol
@gatsby22 that would be weird for her to say. Did you just notice the pending action thing in your portal and click on it to to see the required doc? or did you get like emails asking for something. I got just the notif to get the family member listing form signed and uploaded. I do not wana get my hopes up, but that additional info is basically a hint I would like to think.
I find it so interesting that some people are getting their financial aid summaries this year before getting their acceptance letter.
Is the OASIS stuff really gone this year? I secretly liked the extra stress level that brought to my life, lol. It was another thing to refresh constantly.
